2.5 star ratingClean, nice bar and restaurants. Conceirege very pleasant Excellent location. Pillows the absolute worst, like wafers and then we asked for standard size pillows and we did get them but one was about 4 cm thick and the other one about 20cm thick and was actually foam chips. Not what one expects from a ****star hotel. They should learn about beds and pillows from the Marriott.10 September 2008
3.0 star ratingStriking designLong queues for check in and check out Breakfast food not good. Fried eggs pre-prepared, almost inedible. Room 7th floor bit noisy 17 November 2008

4.0 star ratingNice room , nice quality for the priceVery bad check in with employees that are not smiling, speaking bad english. Also lifts were totally full at the checkout and I had to wait 15 minutes for a free lift + staris were not indicatedNot very nice at all at checkin !!!10 February 2009
3.5 star ratingthe central and convenient position it is placedreally small rooms, these are not deluxe rooms. When I asked the reception to change me to a slightly larger room, they mentioned they had no problem of availability but I would have to pay a considerable amount of money to get a larger room. I commented that this was not a deluxe room since it was really small for a double room, it could barely fit my luggage and I find it inappropriate to have a double bed stack to the wall and be able to get of the bed only through one side while the bed is double!!! They probably mean by a deluxe room that they provide a 32" TV... The bathroom was not very clean and eventhough I mentioned it to the cleaning people, nothing changed.06 May 2009
2.5 star ratingExcellent location, comfortable bed and good quality bed linen/towels. Staff make a noble effort to live up to a pretentious image.A hotel run by accountants. Needs more money putting back into maintenance routine. Shabby carpets, stains, leaky shower and taps, musty smell. Wireless internet didn't work. Cable network hit and miss - and extremely expensive! All evidence that too much money is taken out, not enough put back. Spending a little money upfront on dubious design is no compensation for basic housekeeping failures. IT at check-in is slow, slow, slow. Sure this makes for great spreadsheets but hampers staff and irritates customers. Watch the retention stats Mr A Guoman!24 April 2009
4.0 star ratingThe staff were polite and professionalchecking in took too long, plus debiting my credit card with 50pPDS just in case was rather excessive. when checking out was told it would be credited back in a few days? 16 June 2009

3.5 star ratingGreat location. Clean. Comfortable enough. Room was small although recently refurbished. Front desk staff were mostly odd! Wasn't fantastically sound proof between rooms (although no noise from outside)10 January 2011
4.0 star ratingRoom upgrade was a lovely surprise, and the room was well fitted and extremely comfortable. Services provided by the hotel was also of a high standard.Staff in the bar seemed inexperienced and it took a long time to get the drinks we ordered (at one point we had to repeat our order about 5 times). Also the check in desk was a little disorganised.NickMccz20 December 2011

4.0 star ratingGood location right next to Hyde park, marble arch and underground station. Decent gym, bars and restaurant. Was upgraded to an executive room however still pretty basic and a bit bland. No executive lounge at this hotel. FLYINGSCOTT26 March 2013

4.0 star rating Very attentive and friendly staff, very important to me,as i'm on my own! Stylish room decor. Fantastic location, inspiring hotel foyer. Noisy, my room was above the kitchen exit, and I was woken at 5.30 a.m, with things being delivered, this racket continued for over half an hour. The first morning I was woken at 7.15 a.m by a maintenance man, calling me, telling me how to use my remote, to get TV working, as when I checked in the evening before, there was no signal.Very thoughtless, as I had a big celebration the evening before! There was a lot of noise when the housekeeping staff emptied bottles ect from when cleaning rooms. Very tight fit in bathroom, sliding door would have been more appropriate!08 October 2013
3.5 star ratingLocation, location, locationreally, really busy and not personal at all. Ideal to go to explore london, but for something more special not the placeAnonymous 23 September 2015
3.5 star ratingWalking into reception, it is very clean and welcoming with lovely decorations. Staff are very eager and keen to help.I have stayed at the hotel on many occasions, however, on paying for a deluxe double room, was very disappointed as dont know what classes it as 'deluxe'. The room was fine but bathroom looking tired with a large piece of the skirting board missing, behind the sink, the chrome is looking rusty and the plug holes in sink and shower both looked like they needed a good clean with bleach. The lifts are a nightmare as there were only 4 working out of 6 and as there are no stairs to go down, you have to rely on the lifts and it took 25 mins on sunday morning to be able to get into a lift as everyone was checking out - this does need to be looked into. I did feel on this ocassion that the hotel is lacking in some of its 4 star facilities.Anonymous 13 December 2016
3.5 star ratingGreat convenient location for Hyde Park and major shopping streets such as Oxford, Regent , New Bond etc. Tube and bus routes around the corner. The lift facility is inadequate for the number of guests staying at the hotel. At peak times you can wait up to 30 minutes for a lift and there are no stairs down to the lobby! Breakfast at peak time is very busy and you can have to wait 20 minutes plus to be seated. Inadequate toilet facilities for size of hotel e.g. 10 minute walk from breakfast hall!Legs29 November 2016
