| 3.0 star rating | It was central and the staff were friendly | We were given very little information upon our arrival and had to ask for check out times and breakfast arrangements. In the room the shower temperature control was stuck fast ( yes we did press the release button, even my husband couldn't move it) this resulted in an extremel hot shower. There were lots of teabags in the tea/coffee making facilities but only one ordinary teabag for two people? We would have asked for more but at 5.30 in the morning it was tedious. The bar on the 28th floor had stunning views but we were seated and ordered our drinks and after waitinhg more than 15 mins we still hadn't been served so we left and complained to the manager who offered us free drinks but no explaination this would have made us late for our dinner arrangemnts so we left. The breakfast on Sunday morning was disgracefull We waited 15 mins to get into the restaurant and a further 10 mins to be seated, We had to ask and wait for every single thing as they had all been used up eg tea, milk butter, cereal, eggs, plates !!!! The whole occaision took well over an hour and most things were cold by the time we collected everything. it was a tedious and stressfull event. we have stayed in a lot of hotels in london far cheaper than this which offered a better experience, This was a special occaision ( wedding anniversary) which was spoiled by the Hilton. | 21 April 2011 | |
