2.5 star ratingBreakfast very good - service good.Be careful if you are in a double room - we were given a "Double Junior" when it should have been a "Double Standard". Considerable difficulty in getting a satisfactory outcome. We did not present a credit card at registration and were therefore requested to pay £60 deposit. We had difficulty getting this back on departure - lots of verbals from the receptionist and a demand (yes demand) for a receipt. We would have expected the hotel to have recorded our cash deposit on their system - clearly (?) they did not.Sherlock @ Rathbone, London28 April 2009

It was a very nice hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful with everything and had good information about the city. The brekfast was very good. And it was very near everything in the sity. It was TOO noisy from the street. We did`nt sleep the night to sunday :) I send a email and ask for a room away from the street and get a room over a bar :( jLs27 February 2013

4.5 star ratingThe cooked English breakfast was excellent. Hotel staff were all very helpful, we arrived early, about 12, and whilst our room was not ready they willingly took our bag and checked us in. When we returned about 7 our bag was in the our room and all we had to do was pick up the room key. The location was also very good, a very short walk to Tottenham Court Road tube and Oxford Street, whilst being on top of some very nice restaurants. For a 4 star hotel I was surprised to find our double was actually 2 singles pushed together and just covered by a fitted sheet. Now this may be normal these days but for me this was a special treat for my wife's milestone birthday. Also the shower curtain was too far into the bath so was always touching me.helpfulhotel21 May 2013
4.0 star ratingLocation is brilliant and staff is super friendly. Rooms are a bit dated but in perfectly acceptable condition (clean and well maintained). The choice of breakfast is quite limited but things that are available are excellent. The only thing I found a little bit annoying was the airconditioning which was super loud and couldn't be switched off (at least I couldn't do it). It's not that hot in London ... switch it off!ProDMattyB02 July 2013

4.5 star ratingRooms and bathrooms a decent size, and our room request for twin beds was accommodated with no issues. Superb breakfast and very efficient, courteous staff throughout the hotel. The location is excellent with some great eateries close by.Even though the hotel is on the older side, some areas particularly in the bedroom are a bit shabby(particularly the woodwork)11 November 2013

5.0 star ratingThe staff were very friendly and polite, and went that extra mile for their guests. The rooms were very well facilitated and clean, with the housekeeping coming once a day to check if anything needed doing. I would definitely stay there again. Anonymous 18 February 2015
