3.0 star ratingIt is being refurbished and the finished rooms are looking smart. A change of room was offered to resolve problems with the original room. A fridge in the room was useful. Great location. Great to be able to open the bedroom window. They need to relocate their food rubbish area away from the windows of the basement rooms. They did not communicate that they could not meet dietary requirements. There was no soya milk or other non-dairy milk available and no willingness to get any. Nor was there any non-dairy spread. There was only tinned fruit, not fresh. Only traditional black tea, no alternative teas. Cheap, poor quality bread and jams. Three televisions across a large, semi partitioned dining area was excessive. One area could have been more peaceful and free of music channels and advertising. For a newly refurbished room, the look was good but the quality poor. The shower leaked. Several shades of laminate for the various 'wood' surfaces spoiled the intended impression. The laminate floors may be easier to maintain, but there was a lot of noise from footsteps overhead. The tea-making facilities in the room only included black tea and regular coffee. No decaffeinated coffee or alternative teas. We also had only glasses, no mugs.Anonymous 04 September 2014
