2.5 star ratingLocation to Paddington station was good. This room was to be for 3 adults and was understood to be airconditioned. There were 3 unusually small twin beds, with one of those 3 only being a cot that was very low to the ground and the mattress sank terribly. There was no space to move around in, and there was NO airconditioning. Fortunately, there was a fan which helped the unseasonably hot situation. This room is really meant for possibly two adults with one SMALL child only.10 August 2008
3.0 star ratingFunctional, we used the hotel as a stop over on our return from a 4-star holiday in Italy. It served our basic needs perfectly well.20 August 2008
5.0 star ratingThis is the second time I've stayed at the Prince William and you've got everything you need. It's right on the door step to Hyde Park, a 30sec walk away from Paddington Tube and Train Station. Staff are friendly, and willing to help you with whatever they can. Best of all, the price is good value for money for centre of London!!08 September 2008
1.0 star ratingNo positive comment at all.The staff was not helpful and when we arrived, they said my reservation had been 'transferred' to another hotel, which I did not receive any notification. And when I arrived the other hotel, they could not find my booking neither. I ended up have to pay for a room to stay at a third hotel with the help of the second hotel. Prince William Hotel insisted there is nothing to do with them and refused to pay me back the hotel fee, which I paid on the internet when I booked it. I will never recommend people to stay there, in fact, I will warn all my friends not to stay there. 14 September 2008

2.0 star rating...When i asked for a wake up call in the morning, 6:30am, they guy said okay he'd do that... come 7am. The wake up call hadn't come still. Had I not woken up on my own I'd have been late. Don't say you will do things if you are just going to forget.27 October 2008

2.5 star ratingGood location to Underground and Paddington Station. The staff were helpful. The rooms were more than basic and were in need of maintenance and better layout. We had to ask to change our room because on the first night we were put into a room next to the Reception and the lift. The floor was wooden and sqeeky and we did not sleep all night. We were moved to another room which was much quieter but the standard of the room was well below what we had expected.17 November 2008
4.5 star ratingThe staff of the hotel was very helpful and nice. Was clear that they had thought about their quests needs - it was possible to make tea and coffee in the room, there was radiator as well. The towels and sheets were very clean and white. The only thing that ruined the overview was that the curtains in the room were very dirty - as if they were last washed during the ruling of last Queen. The breakfast coffee could've been better.26 November 2008
2.0 star ratingClean and tidyThree single beds cramped into a room only big enough for two beds, does not constitute a family or triple room.25 November 2008

1.5 star ratingOne of the most disgusting hotels I've seen. The elevator scared the crap out of me and it was located exactly a foot away from our room and was incredibly noisy. We were so disgusted by the size of the room (we could nearly touch each wall when standing in the middle, and couldn't even open the bathroom door fully), the cleanliness( the first time I've actually covered the pillow before letting my head touch it and i've backpacked across Asia cheaply), and the smell of the room that we decided to stay somewhere else for two of the three nights we were in London. Even though the company refused to give us money back for both nights (it was less that 48 hours notice) we still thought it was worth leaving, so we paid for two nights and stayed for only one. We're still trying to figure out how to get our money back for the third night as they were incredibly unhelpful. As a point of interest, we ended up going right across the street to the Royal Eagle(?) and paid the exact same amount and had a wonderful stay with a great continental breakfast. 11 January 2009
3.5 star ratingFor the price and location it was good. Close to Subway, 3 minutes from Hyde PArk and also in easy walking distance (15 to 20 minutes)to Marble Arch, Piccadilly Circus etc.Rooms were small but clean and tidy and for the price and location acceptable, Breakfast was included (continental) with cooked breakfast extra and well presented and met expectations for quantity and quality.16 April 2009

3.0 star ratingGood staff at the reception and cleaningthe privacy is strongly violated there - even if guest should smoke in the room, staff has no right to acces his room, even without prior knocking, except the emergency reason - there is not a concentration camp, but the hotel and staff can note guest several another polite ways. We were very surprised and disappointed with it. Next to it the funghi on the wall was disgusting and maybe harmful, phone laying on the floor, failed air draft on toilet and making instant coffee from bag at breakfast restaurant also are not in our opinion definitely a standard. michal14 June 2009
1.5 star ratingClose to the Tube and Hyde Park. This was the grossest, skankiest room in a hotel I have ever seen!!!! Rooms are teeny tiny, the bedwas delapitated with a thin spring mattress that sank when you sit on it. The bedspread was old, dirty and stained and blankets were matty and old. The sheer curtain on the window was shredded. We had a room on the 5th floor, but the lift only goes to the 4th floor and we had to climb a windy narrow staircase hauling our suticase and go through 3 fire doors to get to our smelly corner room. The bathrooms have been redone, but again, the mattresses and the rest of the room have yet to catch up! Staff was curt and cold at both check in and in the restaurant. Food in the restaurant was cereal and toast, with thin processed pieces of cheese available. I have been a flight attendant for 23 years and this is the worst I have seen. Even my 18 year old nieces were afraid to sleep in or have contact with the bed. 09 July 2009
2.5 star ratingCleaning and fresh towles every dayRoom in the basement are very loud - because of the old elevator, which stops 3 inches too early and very very loud. And because of the breakfastroom, which becomes an Indian Restaurant in the night. May be, you are strong enough to open the window, but you better don't do it because of the smells from the kitchen.31 August 2009
3.0 star ratingVery central and good if you just want a bed fort he night. The shower and bathroom were very clean and nice to use. Some of the furnature was a bit stained and past its best. Could maybe do with updating. The floor was fine but could have done with a bit of a hoover.06 October 2009
4.0 star ratingSome comments say the staff were unfriendly, but I think it's more that English is not their 1st language and some staff are not fluent in it. There was a slight communication barrier but the staff were lovely and helpful. While the room and bathroom was very small, they were very clean. Fresh towels every day and tea/coffee. No complaints reallyNo real complains, you get what you pay for and this hotel does that, in a nice though! Lucy07 November 2009

4.5 star ratingFor the price you pay a valuable hotel. From Lancaster Gate or Paddington, both in less then 5 minutes walkway, you have very good connections into the city and all sights. And the Hyde Park is nearby so you can sit there and relax from shopping or whatever you have done.Nothing. It's a 2-star hotel and that's it. a_man_and_a_woman11 November 2009

2.5 star ratingExpected the single rooms to have en-suite toilets, this was not the case. The rooms were all a bit tired. The floor In the breakfast room had a patch which had obviously sunk and was potentially dangerous. I could not recommend thsi hotel to anybody.PFC15 October 2010
1.0 star ratingI cannot give any positive reviews about this hotel.I I cannot believe that we were put in a room (40) that had rain dripping through the ceiling that kept us both awake the 2nd room was I suppose okay. The mats on the wood flooring are dangerous as we both slipped on them this is a definate accident waiting to happen. We did not have a cooked breakfast but ordered toast and after 15mins of waiting and asking where our toast was we got told they had forgotten about us. I do feel I deserve some of my money back as you are the first hotel that I have stayed at that has taken the money at time of booking and not at check out. I definately would not recommend your hotel to anyone.02 November 2010
2.5 star ratingThe hotel is in a very good location and is cleaned every day and clean towels are provided every day.Our room was very small and if you needed the bathroom in the night, the person next to the wall had to climb over the other person.10 March 2011
3.0 star ratingstaff were friendlyroom was small, didnt like the fact we had to leave our key at reception everytime we went out, needed a lick of paint, couldn't open the window thus meaning the room was like an oven, and the thinnest mattress on top of the squeakiest bed ever.28 July 2011
3.5 star ratingThis is a 2star Paddington hotel so you get what you pay for - it is nothing special but...you get a bed with clean sheets, an ensuite and a bit of continental breakfast. If you just want somewhere to sleep which is central ( on bus route and 2minutes from underground) then it is a good base. The staff are always very friendly. For the money, it is more than acceptable taking in consideration the location.Unfortunately the lift was out of order when I stayed and it was a trek up to the 3rd floor (especially from basement restaurant after breakfast) but was only temporary. A lick of paint is needed and a bit of attention to some curtain fixtures.04 October 2011
3.0 star ratingHotel was a cheap place to stay for the evening near Hyde Park which was perfect for the location whilst conducting businessThe continental breakfast was not what one would of expected as a continental breakfast.21 November 2011
1.0 star ratingNoneAfter we arrived it quickly became apparent that our room was directly next to the only lift in the hotel, with out bed head rest against the lift wall. After i tried to pull the curtians, which only covered half the window and then discovering blood covered bed sheets (photos available to confirm) i asked the hotel to move us. They advised they were unable to do this so we left. On leaving, the receptionist then offered to change the sheets. I am going to follow this up with an official complaint. 3.0 star ratingHotel bem localizado. Pessoal do hotel atencioso. Próximo de restaurantes, mercados e transportes.Quarto pequeno e banheiro desconfortável. Mas como em Londres você não vai querer ficar no quarto, está tudo bem.11 April 2012
4.0 star ratingA lovely clean hotel, perfect for a night or two, very good location, two minutes from Lancaster Gate tube station. The staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant and friendly. Lovely clean and nicely decorated rooms.Rooms and ensuite a little small, but who cares? Unless your going to be living in your room then it doesn't need to be massive or anything.EmandAnt13 April 2012
4.5 star ratingGood facilities throughout and good value for money. The staff were always polite, friendly and helpful... Location was good, as relatively close to Lancaster Gate underground...At times the heat in the room was unbearable. If going in peak season - i would definately recommend taking your own fan!!hicksy16 July 2012

2.5 star ratingPretty good location. Lift not working. Only the cold water tap worked on the sink. Toilet flush was hanging off the wall. Shower didn't drain away and dripped for an hour after use. Paper thin walls with constantly noisy pipes. Not even a bed-side table, just a phone on the floor. Get what you pay for I guess. Pb22 June 2013

1.0 star ratingThe Prince William Hotel in Paddington London is definitely one to be avoided. From the moment you walk through the doors you are greeted by unprofessional staff who have very little customer service skills. The room was horrendous with badly broken laminate flooring, plug sockets hanging off the walls, water stained ceilings and walls and an unpleasant damp smell! We were left with no flushing toilet for a whole day resulting in having to walk four flights of stairs in order to use the toilet as the very dated lift took around 10 minutes to use! Very, very disappointed- ABOID AT ALL COSTS! This hotel, and I use the term loosely, has serious safety issues!Chrisj10 August 2013

2.0 star ratingThe location was good, not too far from public transport routes and easy to find. Food was not bad, not great but not bad. Bedding and towels were clean. The curtains were blackout curtains, great for hangovers. The lift was great if you wanted an up close and personal experience with the other occupants of the lift (very small) and half way up it made a sound like a mad axe man wanted to come in (we found this hilarious, hence it being a positive, however if you are of a nervous disposition I suggest the stairs! On arrival the hotel had no knowledge of the reservation what-so-ever, there was obviously a miscommunication between the booking agent and the hotel, hotelopia had the manager's email on file rather than the reception, however despite the manager having received the booking request this was not forwarded to the reception desk and therefore we were not on the system. Having asked the hotel staff to ring hotelopia to sort it out, they reluctantly obliged and eventually the confirmation was sent again to the reception, which immediately went into the junk folder! After another 10 minutes or so it was sorted and we were told we had been given the last room available. We were not expecting much... The room was ok, fairly basic and small however the first time we ran the tap an awful smell came up from the drains, the kind of smell that physically assaults all of your senses, this and the bathroom door did not close and had a half inch gap round the entire door, you can imagine what the room smelt like after half an hour. We sucked it up thanking our stars that we only had one night and knowing there were no other rooms available! The bed was fairly standard and tea and coffee making facilities were there, in short supply, but there. The shower decided it would be better to drench the entire bathroom rather than the occupant of the shower but that's ok because I like swimming. After a brilliant night out in London we came back to our underwater broom closet, thankfully we only had to spend roughly 6 hours sleeping in there (with gas masks donned) before breakfast and check out. When we left we thought we would just leave a few comments about the room, these obviously sank faster than the titanic and I don't expect they will do anything about it. There was barely any apology for the state of the room, nor the hassle we had to go through to get it in the first place, had we not asked them to sort it out, the hotel would have been happy to say 'jog on'! I think I might just avoid this hotel in the future as I can get the same experience renting a mouldy cardboard box, located on top of a drain, in a thunderstorm.Hakunamatata04 December 2015
