3.5 star ratingPleasant receptionists. Was rather noisy. Could hear people in the corridor and other rooms above early in the morning. Receptionists should offer safe facility when checking in rather than getting to the room and then having to return to reception to pick up lock and key.04 January 2009

3.0 star ratingAdequate for backpackers or those on a tight budget. Facilities and room very basic and no frills. If that is what you want this place is for you.Very noisyddd30 March 2009
4.0 star ratingNice and peacefull location. The hotel is close to the Underground station. The staff was very friendly. 'Cause of booking a room early I got a nice price (about 56euros per night) so the price-quality ratio was good. Liked especially the fact that there was enough space in the room. Facilities of the room were ok. The floor of the room and the corridor was very noisy. In addition the bathroom wasn´t that good. Most probably renewing the old floor and bathrooms would increase pleasure of stay.Traveller27 April 2009

4.0 star ratingVery helpful staff greeted us and were very quick when we needed more milk. Room was above expectation for the price. Good shower and clean room.Noise from lobby late at night. Could fire door be closed to block this out??? Also hurt foot on poor flooring in bathroom. DebK13 May 2011
4.0 star ratingWhat I expected for the amount paid apart from the negative aspect. When I arrived at a few minutes after check in time my room was not ready. You have to realise folk have almost certainly had to travel a bit to get there and require the check in time to be adhered to. My room for the remainder of my stay was not cleaned once. I was out my room every day from between 8.30 06 November 2011
2.5 star ratingNice location opposite picturesque gardens. My room was small and basic but clean and equipped with everything I needed for what was an overnight stay. The lobby hints at a modern hotel but, sadly, the rest of it has seen better days and is need of modernisation. The floorboards the entire length of the third floor creaked loudly whenever anyone walked on them. Unfortunately for me, I was put on the same floor as a group of young travellers who marched up and down the aforementioned floorboards all night, slammed doors and had loud conversations outside their rooms. This continued until around 3.00 am and by the time I got to sleep it was almost time to get up for my meeting. The one service I asked from the staff was for some milk for my tea - housekeeping had left everything except milk. Although reception is 20 feet from the kitchen, the young guy I spoke to said he would bring it to my room. He didn't. I've stayed in several hotels in the Bayswater area and this was, by far, the worst of them. It wasn't horrible but I'd never go back.shattered22 April 2012

4.0 star ratingStaff on reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Carpet in room was very stained. Otherwise the level of cleanliness was very good. Mary, Dublin 11 January 2013
4.5 star ratingHotel location is great for central London. The single room I had was perfectly fine for a couple of nights. The breakfasts were very good and the breakfast staff very efficient when dealing with an influx of diners at the same time. The floorboards in the corridors creaked so every time someone walked past my room I could hear the noise. There isn't any soundproofing between rooms. I heard my neighbour's mobile phone go off several times during the night and could hear the conversations being held.Hilary09 March 2013
5.0 star ratingHave stayed here 3 times four years ago, on our last trip to uk. Still as good and such a good location To stay in London . Would have stayed here more on our return to London but was booked out. A really great place.Happy australian27 May 2013
3.0 star ratingLocation was good for us, as we were visiting Notting Hill. The frontage / reception is pleasant and the staff were welcoming and helpful.very little noise from other rooms / the corridor (helped by our room being at the end of a corridor). Cheaper than other hotels. The room was basic and tired. It reminded me of student accommodation - especially with the basin outside of the ensuite and practically next to the bed. After flushing the toilet, there was a small leak from the ceiling, dripping on the floor (which can be quite disturbing when everything else is quiet.16 December 2013
