5.0 star ratingA clean and tidy hotel run by a young but professional team. Good facilities and less than 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Overall, an ideal base to explore Edinburgh. Recommended.24 September 2008
3.5 star ratingStaff were all efficient and good.First night of stay was disturbed by noise outside -emptying or filling of rubbiish bins late at night and again early in the morning. We asked to be moved for following nights which we were and that was an improvement. There was a notice on reception about a guaranteed good night. This was not the case for us!!06 October 2008

4.5 star ratingClean and very convenient to Edinburgh city centre (5 min walk)Breakfast was cold on Sat/Sun as were the plates for the cooked breakfast. Was excellent on Mon morning!03 December 2008
5.0 star ratingCheck-in was quick and easy, staff were very helpful and professional, there was a wide range of good quality food available at the breakfast buffet, the rooms were modern and clean with many channels on the modern flat screen tv, there was a kettle and hairdryer in the room and an iron and ironing board available. The bed in our room was rather hard and my partner and i woke each morning with a sore back. Drinks at the hotel bar were expensive.30 November 2008
4.5 star ratingstaff were really friendly about the hotel, and were really helpful with naything that i needed. also there was a public computer to use internet on for a fee which is really helpful if your in a pinch. room was really nice and big, and breakfast was really delicious. would recommend it to anyone coz the price was really good considering the location.the only negative thing i have to say is the external taxi firms that were being used were really rude, whilst its not really to do with the hotel however they should use firms who are more accustomed to people from outside the country.30 January 2009

3.5 star ratingGood check in - friendly staff - no hassle to check out early Expensive Not really set up for "twin" rooms (One double and one Sofa )Good hotel for Rugby weekend - but very expensive 17 March 2009
4.5 star ratingStayed over Easter Weekend and although I don't have young children, I was impressed with the effort made to organise Easter Parties and raffles for the children. Well situated with a lovely walk to Princess Street. Easily accessible for all amenities. Comfortable and spacious rooms.Stayed 3 nights and the hotel was very busy which did result in breakfast being cold two mornings runnig. The food selection was good, but i do like my hot meals hot.15 April 2009

4.5 star ratingWe enjoyed our stay here. A short walk to Princess Street, it's ideal for a weekend shopping trip. Clean, light, modern, spacious and quiet - all you need really.Nothing too bad to report, just little things. The key card lost it's memory every day and breakfast was a bit of a scrum to the uninitiated. The lifts to the left of reception made sounds that made us nervous and were subsequently avoided. 4.0 star ratingGood breakfast included in our package. Rooms were very clean.Slightly rough area. Room was little bit "spartan". Little bit out of the if you had children as quite a walk to the attractions.14 April 2010
5.0 star ratingFriendly staff. Clean hotel. Food good especially the breakfast at £7.95 for 'all you can eat'.Noise from road seems neverending all night in spite of double glazing. Maybe it was our room!12 May 2010

5.0 star ratingThis hotel offers a good central location which is easily reached from the airport with city link bus. Our family room was large enough very clean and the bed was comfortable. Good position for exploring the city centre. The queue for breakfast was to long so we eat elsewhere. I do understand it was half-term so was probably busy due to this reason.05 April 2012

4.5 star ratingThe hotel was perfect for a short break, with plenty of space in the room..It was a bit of a shock that the car park charge was £16 as we went over the 24 hour limit. I assumed it would then charge by the hour, but no such luck! 30 May 2012

4.0 star ratingGood value for money and quality breakfast. Good central location in Edinburgh.Unfortunately other hotel guests were knocking on my door throughout the night and sounds of a disturbance could be heard from another room. On route to my room after checking in I was invited to a room party by a drunk group of females.27 November 2012

5.0 star ratingHaving stayed before in this Premier Hotel in a previous year, the same high standards were still there. Polite and efficient staff at reception (particularly Amy!), and in the restaurant also. Local advice to visitors was very helpful, even down to the bus numbers for your particular journey. The hotel location is about 15 minutes stroll from the city centre, and generally flat, so this was our option each day. A problem with a noisy room was quickly resolved the next day, transferring to a quieter one. In summary, an enjoyable stay. Room on the first floor (114) was immediately above the large kitchen extractor fans, which ran all night. Other than that the hotel was quiet. We were offered another room the next day, which was very quiet.John McD, Belfast.21 May 2013
3.5 star ratingMany thanks to the receptionist who managed to find us a family room available earlier that the usual check-in time. This really was very much appreciated. As was the facility to leave luggage after checking out.22 October 2013
