4.0 star ratingA plesant stay and Sarah was brilliant and made us feel right at home..its an avereage 3 star with some bedrooms better than others but generally there were no complaints from the group about the rooms or there condition, The hotel is a few mins walk from haymarket station and a train stop away for edinburgh city centre. All in all we had a great time and recommend this place for groups due to its great affordable location and friendly staff!! the fry up was also very good!my only minor nit pick was that sarah had been left to run the hotel by herself and therefore it took longer at the bar if customers had arrived for check in as sarah could understandably only be in one place at a time! 3.5 star ratingGood size room Clean Friendly staff Comfortable bed TV only showed a couple of channels Although friendly, the staff kept us waiting on several occasions including our arrival. Need to prioritise the guest. No soap Room could do with updating, decor tired in places and the shower head slips down (fine if you are as short as me though)! For the standard of room I found our stay a bit pricey but with the Festival and Tattoo on this was to be expected Breakfast was good, but it would have been nice to be served coffee at the table. Also, it would be better to have larger glasses available for juice and water offered as an alternative. Purdy12 August 2013
