4.0 star ratingA comfortable bar, wioth decent food. The homemade hamburger I ordered was excellent. It could do wioth a few quid being spent on the rooms - or at least the one I was in, which was looking a lkittle tired. Writereditor21 May 2009
4.0 star ratingStaff very pleasent, and very helpful. My room was very hot due to hot water pipes around the room feeding the central heating. I had to leave my window open day and night, and even had to sleep without the quilt cover on.27 September 2009

3.0 star ratingI was given a room beside the cleaners cupboard and that's all I could here. The walls were paper thin so I could hear every thing the staff were talking about. At one point I counted four different voices. Their conversation and all the banging that they seem is necessary to their job, was not a comfortable experience. On the Saturday there was a wedding and all the service staff seemed to be running around doing something for that. I had been told that the hotel does not do room service. I asked for some lunch at the bar and after a long wait I was given the snack menu. I saw the lunch menu on the website before I went downstairs, but when I asked for it I was told that snacks was all they had. The restaurant was being used be the piper to tune up. I had a sandwich at the bar. The staff were very friendly and professional, but lost and inexperienced. The correct training in all departments would help the staff and let the customers feel safe in their hands. When the music started for the wedding I was already preparing for bed. I had to work very early the next day. The music was very load and I had to sleep. There was a lot of people and children outside making a lot of noise. Luckily I had earplugs, and I was able to sleep. For a quite out of town hotel, it was on of the loudest I have stayed in. Eddie 11 September 2013
