Dating back to 1927 and sitting right opposite of the State Opera House, this Secession-style hotel takes a dignified place in the city scape of Prague. It is within a short 5-minute walk from both Wenceslas Square and the Main Train Station, while the Old Town Square can be reached for less than 10 minutes on foot. The surrounding area houses a number of excellent restaurants and high-end shops, but those who are looking for a stylish atmosphere and special food shouldn't look further than the onsite French gourmet restaurant. At it they can also sample some fresh takes on traditional Czech dishes and carefully selected wines to perfectly complement the nuances of the food. For those warm summer evenings guests can head to the charming summer terrace of the coffee bar, the perfect place to enjoy a chilled cocktail at the end of the day.

3.0 star ratingHotel was lovely and clean staff were nice and polite, Our room was in the roof space or attic this room was not good, not sure whether these attic room are allocated to Easy Jet bookings. Breakfast was always cold and very poor.01 October 2008
4.5 star ratingThe hotel was better than I had expected considering some of the negative reviews I had read before going there. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and very clean. The staff were always helpful and the ambience of the building was just what I had hoped for. whatever rating the hotel has I was more than happy, especially with having clean towels every day and a nice powerful shower! Hotel is a refurnished old building, Tastefully done interior and rooms.A/C was turned off during our stay - I suppose its a European practice but for Asians like us its rather strange.
