Hotel Information

Located in Republic Square, as the name of this venue suggests it is right where all the important places in Prague are concentrated. Its guests will need less than a 5-minute walk to reach the golden domes, cobbled alleys and castles of the Old town and around 15 minutes to the modern shops, bars and restaurants of the new quarter. Due to the convenient public transport stop, which is less than 200 metres away, they can easily move in and around the city. The surrounding area also houses a selection of fine gastro-pubs and countless shopping venues, ideal for those who want a relaxed dinner before heading to their well-appointed room for some much needed good night sleep.

4.0 star ratingCentrally located, reception staff pleasant especially the door/security man, very good value for money - would recommend to others who are after a base which is in the heart of Prague. No kettle to make a cup of tea and some of the breakfast staff do not speak at all to you.22 November 2008
4.0 star ratingexcellent hotel, good location, can't fault it.When booking for 2 rooms a double and a single, i had to book 2 doubles because it would not allow me to put in 2 rooms one with 2 persons and one with 1 person01 December 2008
4.0 star ratingGreat location, with easy access to the major landmarks, and close to the metro to get back to the airport. Also near some good restaurants and shopping areas. The room and bathroom were clean and well above the standard of some hotels in europe.Very basic, hotel doesn't offer much more then a bed and a shower really.17 February 2009
3.0 star ratingexcellent location, extremely easy to find and close to everything room on 5th floor was very quietstayed on the 5th floor with the lift not working during the entire stay, hotel staff said they'd help with the luggage but no one did hotel staff were not very nice and a bit scary no bath gel, shampoo so bring your own04 March 2009
4.0 star ratingMuch bigger and more professional than I had expected. Very easy to check in and out and over all friendlyness of staff. For the price, the location was fantastic. Everything was within a 10 minute walk and the hotel was in a great area, of resturants, shops, casinos and bars. Breakfast was simple but good and the thing I mainly noticed was how clean the hotel was.The double bed was two single beds pushed together with a piece of wood down the middle whcih was quite uncomfortableAnna23 March 2009
3.5 star ratingCatch a minibus from outside arrivals to the hotel for ?20 - it will drop you off right outside. The hotel is very close to the Old Town, Jewish Quarter, Powder Tower, and other main attractions. It's in a safe area. Opposite is a supermarket open to 9pm for essentials. A large and very plush/modern shopping mall is 50m to the left of the hotel. The room and bathrooms are very basic, but they are clean and though the beds are hard, you get a good, safe nights sleep. There are no entertainment facilities in the hotel to speak of, it's really just a block of rooms for hire. But, in reality you don't need anything in the hotel as everything you need for eating and entertainment is easily and quickly accessible right outside the hotel. The breakfast on offer is basic, but sufficient - bread rolls are good, with boiled eggs, gherkins, cereal, cheese and ham in abundance - and it'll set you up for the day. The coffee was awful, so a quick trip to the Starbucks in the mall to the left of the hotel was needed - I left the wife in bed and nipped out for a treat for her. The only thing that may be a problem is the noise in the summer. We had a room on the main street side and through the double-glazed windows we could hear the trams going by. In summer there would probably be a need to keep the windows open - no aircon - and the noise may disrupt your sleep. The curtains didn't cover the windows fully, so if you need a dark room to sleep in it may be a problem. We walked everyday from 10am to 9pm and so when we went to bed nothing was going to keep us awake. No hairdryer. You pay for access to the room safe.PragueinMay0917 May 2009
