Housed in a lovely historical building with unique architecture dating back to the 14th century, this cosy hotel awaits its guests in the most attractive part of Prague. They will be within a 5-minute walk from Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and surrounded by Prague Castle and the main city sights. The nearest public transport stop is just 50 metres away and the area houses some excellent bar, restaurants and countless shops. The venue itself provides much needed respite from the crowds outside. As soon as one steps through its door, breaths in the calm air and sees the antique furniture and elegant decoration he/she will feel at ease. Guests can enjoy the delicious breakfast buffet in a beautiful vaulted Renaissance cellar, while in the summer they can relax in the pleasant atrium.

1.0 star ratingCheck-in guy refused to book me in hotel building and gave us the room in neighbour building just behing the corner. I protested but Waldstein employee explained that its only room available. Room itself were acceptable for drunk students only, not for staying with family. I was really disappointed and decided to leave this hotel after 30 minutes without any refund. I called to Radisson hotel and took room for 3 days and it was right desicion. 5.0 star ratingVery quiet---NO traffic or early morning revellers making a noise---easy place to start your own walks--did about 50 km ---internet available--plenty of information leaflets--good Czech pubs nearby serving Czech food and not always burgers and chips. Thank you also for the taxi ride to the airport.Just one minor complaint---we wish the light bulbs were a little brighter.28 September 2008

4.5 star ratingThe accommodation was spacious and well maintained with a comfortable bed and plenty of wardrobe/drawer space. The bed was made up and the room tidied on a daily basis. Towels were also changed promptly. All staff gave a good service and were friendly and helpful.Room facilities were somewhat limited. A couple of easy chairs to sit and read would have been most welcome (there was certainly plenty of room for them) and a wider choice of tea and coffee in the kitchen would have been appreciated. The biggest negative was that there was no hotel bar in which to meet other guests.04 November 2008

Nice comfy, warm rooms this was much appreciated by our group as we visited in November and it was cold outside. Would recommend. Quiet location . located in the Lesser town beside the castle.Very accessible. I think this is the best part to stay if visiting Prague. great choice for breakfast .wooden steps to the rooms could be noisy at times if guests vacating rooms early in the morning. 28 November 2008
4.0 star ratingLovely traditional Hotel, great location next to the Waldstein Palace at the foot of the Castle and very close to Charles Bridge for easy walking access to all parts of the City. The Rooms were great, We stayed on the top floor of the main building, plenty of Room and some lovely antique style furniture. Would definitely recomend to our friends.No lift so would be challenging for someone with disabilities. Lacked the facilities of a chain Hotel but then more than made up with it by the location, quality of rooms and general traditional czech feel.24 December 2008

3.5 star ratingHotel in a superb position to explore all of Prague's major sites of interest. Also situated in a beautiful part of Prague. From the hotel you don't need a tram or the metro to reach nearly all places of interest. We found the hotel lovely. Very in keeping with 'old Prague', and a fascinating basement carved out of the rock, complete with its own well, where a generous breakfast was served.One of the male reception staff very taciturn and unhelpful. An unfortunate incident over the deposit paid for the key to operate the safe/strongbox in our room which had not been recorded by him upon receipt of the key was resolved pleasantly and helpfully by a female receptionist (regret I didn't get her name) who paid back the deposit without further question. 16 June 2009

The room we stayed was bit unsafety because it was placed in front of the public space, and remote from the reception. TV set often lost the aerial signal.
