5.0 star ratingExtremely friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious, comfortable and modern and thankfully included tea/coffee making facility. The location was perfect with beautiful views. We would definitely recommend this hotel and go back. It's probably not 4 star compared with English 4 star hotels - more like 3 star - but that did not bother us at all. Bars/restaurants right next to the hotel the staff are grumpy and unfriendly (this does not apply to "Hell" which is a little walk away and supposed to be very good) also food in Bella Vista was noy very good for what you pay.05 September 2008
4.0 star ratingStaff very helpful and friendly. Hotel in very quiet and historic area, well off the beaten track, but very close to tram stop for access to town.Rooms are loft style, with sleeping area up very steep stairs - not suitable for disabled - and rather small shower room on lower level (difficult to negotiate route to bathroom during night in the dark!)11 November 2008
5.0 star ratingWe enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Staff were very helpful and although only breakfast was available in the hotel there were at least 4 restaurants within 200 metres. The buffet style breakfast provided a good enough range of options to give us a good start to the day.04 November 2008
4.5 star ratingvery clean hotel, situated in a terrific position very close to all the sights. reception staff friendly and helpfulthe heating in the room wasnt very hot25 November 2008
4.0 star ratingThis small hotel was trendy, done in a loft style with very modern bathroom (heated underfloor) and seperate living room area and bedroom. Breakfast was adequate. Staff were very helpful and booked taxi from/to airport for us. Room was very clean and comfortable. The bells from the monastry sounded every quarter of an hour until quite late in the night 17 March 2009
4.0 star ratingModern hotel, yet still maintains it's original features. Great location with amazing views. Breakfast was OK, but not great - still it filled a hole!No sound proofing at all. We could hear every footstep and conversation from people in other rooms, plus their TV's. This was very disappointing (and frustrating) especially when trying to sleep09 March 2009
5.0 star ratinga little gem. we were staying in room 31 a split level room with a view of the monastery. the bells rang at 6.00 am each morning but hey, that's all part of the charm. breakfast was pretty good too. fresh bread, eggs, cereal and yoghurts. lovely views over prague from right outside your door. i would return and recommend the hotel to friends. reception staff all speak english. n/an/a28 March 2009
4.0 star ratingBreakfast very good and lots of choice. Internet good but you cannot access Microsoft Hotmail. Location is really good and the 22 tram stops just outside. We had a broken lamp which w e had to complain about twice. Eventually it was taken away and not replaced. This meant that the room was a bit dark for reading. We asked for a view and instead got a dowstairs room with no view. we had paid extra for a luxury room.Ray in Bude03 April 2009

5.0 star ratingStaff very friendly - excellent quality - would go again and recommend20 June 2009
4.5 star ratingVery nice rooms with up to date bathroom facilities. The views from the monastery are unbelievable! It was quiet, charming and has a brewery and 2 very good restaurants right there on the grounds. The staff helped with everything including an internet cable to plug in my laptop, currency exchange and arranging for a taxi. The # 22 tram is just outside, so travel up & down the hill into town is very simple. I would highly recommend staying at Strahov monastery, and would go back in an instant! This is not a negative, just a heads up. The upper, third floor rooms have been renovated and are very modern, but you must climb stairs to get up to the bed. It is sort of a "stacked" situation where a nice desk, office space, bathroom is on the first level, and the bed is upstairs in a lovely garret space. Extremely charming, but for younger legs than mine, especially if you get up in the night.15 July 2009
5.0 star ratingDelightful setting; desired quiet environment31 August 2009
4.5 star ratingExcellent position if you are ok with a bit of a climb back from the town. Its not the end of the world though as taxis and trams are available readily. Ultra modern hotel of an excellent standard. Has a few restaurants and bars within the grounds but beware the one that you go underground to tucked away round the corner at the side of the church, very expensive and food only average 1800 check crowns for 2 people. There is so much better value and quality around you really are spoilt for choice. 22 November 2009
