This hotel, housed in a historic building, is superbly located on Cromwell Road, in the area of Kensington. The nearest underground station, Gloucester Road station, is to be found within walking distance from the hotel, although many sites of tourist interest, such as Harrods, Oxford Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum and the Science can be reached on foot. Kensington Palace is around 1.3 km away and the Royal Albert Hall is approximately 1.6 km from the hotel. Heathrow airport is the nearest one, being only 22 km away.

| 5.0 star rating | My daughter and I only stayed for one night, but it's the type of hotel you wouldn't mind staying a bit longer in. The room was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Check in staff were friendly and helpful. I was a bit apprehensive when they said that breakfast is served down in the basement, but this turned out to be a lovely bright and airy room with yet more friendly staff. The breakfast choices were plentiful, with a good sized pot of tea instead of a skimpy cup that some places give you. Check out staff were very helpful with our onward journey. We really enjoyed our short stay, and would go back without hesitation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area. A nice hotel ideal place and location for a weekend in London! walking distance from tube and local shops, very good value for money as well. | all of the staff at reception, were very friendly and professional and attentive most of the time when meeting and greeting guests. With the exception of one man, (not sure of the name) slim, fair, white, side parting brown hair (when we came back from our afternoon shop we wanted to enquire about dinner he kept his head down fiddling about with a computer, my husband went over to him, stood right in front of him and he never looked up once! he was stood there at least a minute and then another lady at reception came over and asked if he needed help? The male member of staff was not attentive at all, rude infact! with no acknowlegement not looking up even once! Also we ordered a private taxi from the hotel to eat out, and he was the driver from hell, smelly smokey cab! and we nearly crashed into another taxi ( this was fed back to your reception staff) when we checked out! careful what private hire company you use! next time I will only take a black cab! At breakfast orange juice ran out 40 mins before service ended. and the jam I was about to use had already been opened and half used. | 1.0 star rating | Room 827 had a mouse in the room !! At 1.30am Kamraan on reception found us a room in another local hotel (Ibis) as there were no free ones in our hotel. He did resolve the situation but obviously our stay was ruined. Sent an e mail to the hotel manager Jason O'Reilly on our return to the North West on Sunday evening. No reply or apology from the hotel manager in 48 hours or to date despite leaving a phone message too. I am very very surprised as I have always thought of the Best Western as a high quality affordable chain. Have we just been unlucky ?
