This hotel is located only a short distance from the busy Paseo del Prado, one of the most famous streets in the capital city. Tourist attractions and major venues are easily accessible. This historic hotel was renovated in 2002. It comprises a total of 55 rooms. The rooms are exceptionally appointed for the guest to rest after a long day. The air-conditioned property offers a foyer with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe and a cloakroom. Further facilities include a restaurant with highchairs available for children a lobby bar. 3.0 star ratingConvenient location just off the main street and close to Malecon and Old Havana. Friendly staff at reception.The room was ok, though not very spacious. The bathroom was quite shabby, but we've seen worse in Cuba. BUT: both mornings there was no hot water so it was impossible to take the shower. I figured out it was some general problem, not just in our room, but when I asked the staff when this is going to be fixed they were very relaxed and did not even apologize for the inconvenience. This may be ok for Cuba, but hotels aren't cheap, and if they want to maintain some standards and get reputation among foreign travelers, such attitude is unacceptable. The choice of food for breakfast is very limited. The first morning there was no butter. When my husband asked for it, the waiter in the breakfast room nodded and then just did nothing - he simply ignored the request. It would have been ok if he said something like "I'm sorry Sir, we've ran out of butter" - but he just ignored us. The second morning there was no eggs, cheese and ham, and there were two waiters basically doing nothing who did not bother go into the kitchen and bring more food. 07 November 2012

3.0 star ratingSafe im Zimmer. Kleiner Balkon. Die schöne Aussicht auf die Stadt aus dem Frühstücksraum im 7. Stock und der , wenn auch schlichte, Kolonialstiel der Lobby mit Bar im EG machen mangelnde Gründlichkeit des Reinigungspersonals und die drucklose Dusche zum Teil wett. Preis Leistung ist ok. Wer deutschen untere Mittelklasse Standard erwartet muss deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen. Der Kaffee ist leider kaum Genießbar. Das Frühstücksbuffet ausreichend - mangelhaft. Es wird zwar jeden Tag geputzt aber auf unserer dreiwöchigen Rundreise stellten wir fest, dass echte Gründlichkeit ( d.h.: auch in- Ecken, Ritzen, auf Fensterbänken, die Fenster, den Spiegel und unter den Betten putzten. Vorhänge werden auch selten gewaschen.) nur in ca. 30% aller Unterkünften anzutreffen ist. MonacoFranze02 December 2012

2.0 star ratingThe breakfast was good, When we arrived in the evening, we got told to go to another hotel due to mechanical problems in the room. We had to pay the taxi driver ourself that evening. The other hotels standard was not as good as we had payd for. The day after we had to change back to park view hotel. We waited for a taxi about 45 min. Then we descided to take another taxi with we had to pay ourself. When we arrived to park view they did not appologize and we didnt recive any discount for the inconvnience.Johanna04 March 2013

The air conditioning was noisy and too cold with loud noises emanating from the bathroom some nights. 2.
