4.0 star ratingStaff very frindly and hotel very clean. Our room was very spacious. Everything on the doorstop so no need for Taxi's in the daytime. Our ensuite was very tired with little or no hot water at times, air con noisy but the room was very spacious. I was not too sure about the room safe as instead of a key or code it worked by using the keycard which made me nervous as any number of them could be produced. Breakfast waiters a bit relunctant to act on requests for replacement crockery and foodstuffs in a timely fashion.travellingk12 January 2010
3.0 star ratingLocationRoom had leaky taps, slight flooding in bathroom, insecure room door, no lamps, no minibar, no hairdryer. Sadly, three other rooms offered were no better. The rooms desperately need refurbishment. The hotel's public areas are pretty lifeless. How different it looks in the wonderful photos from years gone by on the walls.28 March 2010
2.5 star ratingGood location---reception staff helpful--liked the poolThought breakfast very poor---chaotic, poor selection of breads etc and rather untidy looking---had been led to expect we would eat in rooftop rest06 February 2012
3.0 star ratingCharming lobby, good central locationCheck-in was time-consuming even without any queue, check-in staff friendly but lacking competence. Breakfast nothing special but bar food better. Room could have been cleaner. All in all, expensive for money spent.chivato04 March 2012

4.5 star ratingFull of character and charm. 24 hour bar!! Rooms spacious, comfortable and cleanDenied the existance of wi-fi/internet in all Havana23 November 2012
4.0 star ratingThe location is excellent, in a reasonably attractive part of town (much nicer than round the Parque Central). Staff were happy to help and the inclusive breakfast was quite good (omelettes cooked too order were a highlight). The building itself is a little tired, but no more so than all the buildings in Havana.Mike A26 January 2013
2.5 star ratingLocation Rooms are OK Interiors are old and have some glamour. 1. Room door all contected to same hall --> loots of noice from slamming doors entrences etc. 2. Lobby ventilated by wind, if it is cold weather during your stay, pack a WINTER jacket. 3. Reception service is OK not better, lobby service below OK, typical goverment Hotel. 4. Top restaurant and Top Bar not worth this booking. 5. Shower is almost impossible to temp regulate. 6. Pool not on roof ---> Smog, bad traffic. 7. it's not a 4 star Hotel 8. Interiors are old, some functions not working.Gott06 March 2013
4.0 star ratingBem localizado. Muito bonito. Bom atendimento. Restaurante excelente e ótimo bar. O café da manhã foi muito ruim. Não havia manteiga (nem um dia). O serviço no café é péssimo.
4.0 star ratingNice hotel. People at the reception were pleasant and professional. Nice pool and great location. The room was nice but the shared bathroom was only accessible from one side ,which meant the third person had to enter the other bedroom tom access it. The evening dinner menu was very limited. The person at the door of the breakfast room made us wait outside even though there were free tables inside. This is very controlling and unwelcoming behavior. It is totally unnecessary. Several times , my Cuban mother-in -law as questioned at the lift if she was a client of the hotel. This is RACISM and I do not accept. Either question everybody or nobody ,or if it's that much of a problem, make every guest wear a wristband. We were also questioned one evening at dinner if that was included in our booking. I think this could easily have been clarified at reception without embarrassing us.04 July 2013
5.0 star ratingThe hotel location is perfect for exploring old havana. The rooms are spacious and have character. The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful.17 July 2013
3.5 star ratingsehr schöne stilvolle Lobby.die Geräusche des Personalaufzugs wirken äußerst störend, wenn das Zimmer in dessen Nähe gelegen ist.24 September 2013

2.5 star ratingGood location, lovely foyer , live music both Cuban and classical breakfast okay.Room was small, with window straight a wall, no hot water until raising the issue 4 times and then having to wait for someone. Whatever you do , do not buy the meal option..... This costs £20 approx for which you can have a very nice dinner on the 9th floor reastaurant with fantastic views. As a prepay, however, you are relegated to a snackbar in the foyer and a menu where the most expensive thing is approc £7! Realisedi had been totally ripped off and felt resentful and foolish.... Be warned!dilbert05 January 2014
3.5 star ratingNice moorish/colonial architecture with wings of pre-revolutionary history. It's situated perfectly between Habana Vieja, Centro Habana and Malecon. The pool area is great for beeing this central in town. Nice swims! The first room we got was small, smelled of molds and with a view directly into a brick wall. We asked to change it, and we got a very nice, spacious room with a french balcony towards the Prado. Evidently, they've got bad rooms and good rooms for the same price. So take the advice if you're not satisfied with the room, change it! They might say the hotel is fully booked, but just keep on complaining and you'll get a nicer room. Maintenance is rather poor all over, so be prepared of disfunctioning (and flowing) WC:s, showers, hair dryers etc. The janitor will try to solve the problem, but only temporarily.Fras29 January 2014
2.5 star ratingYou can use their beautiful pool area in the middle of Havanna on hot data or if the city is just tio Mich or too hot. If you are not a guest at the Hotel, the fee is 15 cuc. ( includes drinks, food and snacks.Staff is not especially helpful ... probably since Hotels are runned by the government. We preferred Casa Particulars since the people made us feel very welcome.Backpacker02 January 2014
