Hotel Information

The Royal is a smart, modern hotel ideally located in downtown St Helier. There is live entertainment in the hotel bar and the outdoor boulevard terrace area is very popular in the evenings with locals and guests alike. The hotel also has a luxury spa, a fully equipped gym and indoor heated swimming pool (children under 16 not permitted), plus three restaurants including one alfresco. Gourmet cuisine is served in the Caf? Zephyr brasserie and guests can also enjoy fine dining in the Restaurant Sirocco. All bedrooms and public guest areas areas are stylishly decorated and finished to a high standard. A great, central hotel for a weekend break or business trip with all St. Helier's excellent shopping, restaurants, port and tourist attractions on the doorstep.

5.0 star ratingThis hotel was amazing, I bought it as a gift for my boyfriends birthday and I don't think we could have been treated better. The room was superb, you could even hear the TV whilst in the bath and if you are lucky enough to get a balcony, the views are perfect for an quiet evening drink from your room.Breakfast could be served a little later on Saturday and Sunday.10 September 2008

We spent both evenings in the hotel's street bar and again had a great time. This is a hotel I would return too on a weekend break. 5.0 star ratinggeorgous hotel we stayed for our 5th wedding snniversary as we meet and lived in Jersey 7 years ago. Thorough enjoyed our stay. The best part being the relaxing spa. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly.Would not recommended to families simply because of the drift below.14 October 2008

5.0 star ratingAbsolutley great, The room was amazing - the staff superb and attentive and the food was great. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed out. It was worth every penny!The only negative is that there is no parking at the hotel although there is a pay and display about five minutes away that is fairly cheap but a bit of a pain especially if raining!01 November 2008
5.0 star ratingAll the staff was first class and nothing was to much trouble.We had a sideroom above a very very bust street. Even with the triple glazing, we could still here the noise. There is two take aways next door to each other and both open until 3am and 4am, and with two pubs near by, there is alot of banter from drunken people.When we did finally get to sleep, you have the street cleaners round at 6am, yes 6am. So for two nights we got about 4hours sleep.Couldnt fault the room at all (Siver room) a part from the noise. 26 November 2008

4.5 star rating A large nice room with a balconyWe were first put into a small room overlooking busy, noisy road. We couldn't sleep properly and were asked to move. Second night we had a lot bigger and quiter room.08 July 2009

5.0 star ratingThe hotel and staff were excellent. I traelled with my mother who is 80 years old and unfortuantely she was not well on the last day. The staff were excellent ensuring we kept our room a little longer and brought tea etc for her. I cannot praise the young man (sorry I don't know his name) enough.I was horrified that the cleaner used the same scourer to wash out the cups in our bedroom and clean the bath room. 28 July 2010

Dinner menu and quality of food in ground floor restaurant was excellent.Room (in older section of hotel) was very pokey and claustrophobic and not suitable for a couple. 3.5 star ratingThis hotel is in an excellent location and the breakfast was top notch, plenty of bars that are up market trendy. Very clean and excellent customer service..how ever see negatives..Dinner in sorrocco upstairs defo a case of the emperors new clothes, had 3 course meal and each plate was size of your head with a babies portion on it??? I did complain and waiter apologized but that was it.. Room with a road view was tiny and my husband and I kept hitting our leg off end of bed as just no room to move, Air con so loud but room to hot without it..never again would I pay 145 sterling per night, we stayed 3, hotel maybe 4 star but room a basic 2 1/2 ..sorry not unless it was a deal.. ber 14 August 2014
