Great breakfast and all in all we really enjoyed our stay.Room was quite warm at night and unfortunately, the only thing that would stop us going back is the location of the hotel as the road was very noisy at night (and so were the drunken people often heard outside!) - a real shame.22 September 2010
5.0 star ratingThis hotel was lovely! We turned up and the reception, bar and restaurant were all very well decorated and the restaurant was obviously very popular. We were checked in quickly along with a very helpful welcome pack of leaflets of things to do on the island, then when we saw our room we were very impressed! Our room was small but very nicely decorated, and the bathroom was lovely! The hotel has obviously out alot of thought into finishing touches, like the waterfall shower, and the fancy little blue LED lights in the shower. The bathroom, towels and linen were all lovely and clean also. The staff were always there with a smile and were always willing to help with whatever you needed. We had room service one night and ate in the restaurant one night, and had breakfast each morning, and everything was lovely! The only critisisms I would have would be small ones. Such as the room was very warm. We've just got back, so we were there end of October, beg November, and we were still pretty warm sleeping and had to have the window wide open alot. Also the walls are paper thin and we could clearly hear the guest in the room next door snoring away! But luckily he only seemed to be there on our first night and we didnt hear him again. On the same note, you wouldnt have much hope of a long lie in because the maids seem to like having very loud conversations down the hallways at 8am every morning! And lastly, the car park was a bit of a nightmare. As I said we were there out of season so normally during the day there were only a few cars in there but if we came back in the evening or wanted to go out in the evening it was a nightmare because of all the people coming to eat there. I cant imagine what it would be like if the hotel was full! The car park is tiny with not many spaces and very narrow with a big brick wall making manoeuvring quite difficult. The hotel do ask guests and diners to leave their car keys and they have someone out there all night moving cars around as people come and go. But to be fair to the hotel theres nothing they can do about it. The hotel is on a main road with what looks like only residential buildings surrounding it so theres no where else to park and nowhere else to fit a bigger car park. But as I say these were minor complaints. Overall we had a great stay. We are very comfortable and well fed and looked after. Well recommended.Cayleym06 November 2012
