Nestled in St. Helier, this attractive hotel is situated within walking distance from the nearest beach and the main city shopping centre. This wonderful property is close to Jersey's main attractions and there are plenty of things to see and do. It is some 10 minutes' drive from the harbour to the hotel, which is a short walk from the bus station near the town centre. The well-equipped rooms are modern and tastefully decorated with wooden furniture, crisp-white bed linens and top-notch comforts to make guests' stay as pleasant as possible. Visitors may indulge in refined a la carte dishes and carvery at the hotel's restaurant, which might be followed by a drink from one of the three inviting bars. Visitors may enjoy an outdoor pool with a slide or have a plunge in the indoor pool or relax in sauna or lake a leisurely walk in the landscaped garden.

The bar is lovely as is the indoor pool (a bit cold for outdoor). Very friendly but professional atmosphere that would suit individuals, couples and families traveling for business or pleasure. The hotel is very clean and although we did not use it, there is a very nice swimming pool.The staff were very friendly.It was nice to have proper pots of teas and coffees at breakfast.Although the selection for breakfast was satisfactory, the type of bread provided was very poor. It would have been nice to have some fresh loaves or even baguettes. The bread provided felt stale and not very appetizing. The coffee was also not very good.TF18 October 2010

5.0 star ratingStayed at The Apollo in St Helier for 2 nights to visit my family. Our room was well equipped and laid out with a very well maintained bathroom. It was all spotlessly clean. The pool and grounds were a bonus in a city during hot weather. The breakfast was extensive and well cooked. The staff were all extremely professional and courteous. Breakfast was also included in the rateThe room was very dated, fittings like lampshades were dirty, the shower in the bathroom went from freezing to hot within seconds, there was no mattress protector on the bed, the spaces in the car park were tiny, and there was a really strange smell in the bedroom. 3.5 star ratingI had read the reviews some good and some bad. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, small but very good. It is in a central position only a 5 minute walk from the shops and around 10 minute walk to the harbor. I would certainly use it again as a base.Could do with re-decorating as very dated.Linda21 September 2016
