5.0 star ratingThe location of the hotel is very good. I was pleased with the standard of he room, it was very clean and well priced. The staff were top class, for what I would class a budget hotel, the overall stay was well above the norm. I would go out of my to say how nice welcoming the staff were. Its the place to stay in Glasgow. 15 December 2008

3.0 star ratingUsed this hotel due to close proximity to SECC as we were going to a concert there, would use again for this reason.Hotel bar closed at 11pm even for hotel residents, not leaving much time for a post concert drink. Hotel room and shower room a little on small side.04 October 2009
3.5 star ratinggood basic hotel , has all the necessities for a short stay nonefrank14 March 2010
3.0 star ratingHotel room carpet looked worn and radiator did not heat room very well without leaving it on constantly, and then if you left the room and kept radiator low for return later that day the house keeping would open your window and left fan on in bathroom so room got cold. Also bathroom had no heating what so ever and was freezing.05 April 2010
3.0 star ratingGood location for SECC and public transportVery poor breakfast service. Bar closes at 11pm prompt so no chance of a relaxing drink after a night out. Cold food and food and drink running out and not being replaced. Staff reaction to problems with the room is also not good. There are too many untrained staff running this hotel.06 July 2010
5.0 star ratingRooms are nothing fancy but very clean and spacious with TV, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer and plenty storage space for luggage / clothes. Very helpful & professional reception staff - especially David. Our booking hadn't been passed on to the hotel properly but David took the time to search for it and rectify the issue straight away and was very apologetic - even though it wasn't the hotel's fault! Food in the restaurant was very good - really good meal deals too. There was a large selection available for breakfast too. Plenty of free parking available and free wi-fi throughout the hotel. Hotel is def value for money and we will def book this hotel again when staying over in Glasgow.Caroline03 April 2014
5.0 star ratingStaff very polite and helpful. Room clean, warm and quiet. Lunch waiter very polite and cheerful. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. A few minutes walk to SECC Hydro where we were attending an event. Our one disappointment was that we couldn't get a meal after the hydro event which finished at 9.50. Maisie05 April 2015
5.0 star ratingNice hotel clean rooms breakfast was very good much better than the Holiday inn express we stayed at the following night !! Only one pillow per person but we did get extra ones when we asked Anonymous 26 August 2015
3.5 star ratingBreakfast was good and price was very good. We travelled to George Sq in a cab which took about 5 minutes. We had a triple which came with a sofa bed which, whilst comfortable, came with a tatty cover/duvet and we had to ask for a blanket which again, was a bit tatty. I would recommend the hotel provide a duvet for the sofa bed in adult triple rooms.Anonymous 08 September 2015
5.0 star ratingThis hotel is great value for money. It's clean, comfortable and, since we were going to the SEC it was a 2 minute walk after the show. We would most definitely stay there again.Anonymous 18 February 2017

3.0 star ratingVery pleasant and helpful staff.Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and sorry to see standards in steady decline. Was asked at check-in for a deposit to cover any purchases from bar, etc. As my room was already paid for (B&B) and I had a reservation at another restaurant for dinner that evening I was reluctant to leave a deposit. I did not have my credit card with me and had to pay a cash deposit which was kept in their safe until the following morning when it was returned to me on check-out. I did not see anything about having to pay a deposit on my hotel confirmation or on the hotel website. Rooms are a bit tired and in need of an upgrade. No handtowels in bathroom and was offered a bath mat from cleaner instead! Musty smell very evident in bedroom. Breakfast reasonable but as usual, not enough tables to cover amount of guests. Had to get table set up in bar for breakfast. Will not stay at Campanile again. Will try the nearby Hilton.Nikki16 February 2016
