3.0 star ratingI would never book this hotel again or recommend it to anyone. We booked this travelodge because it was central which was what we needed for a city shopping break. On arrival at 1pm we were told we cldnt check in til 3 unless we payed an additional £10 we refused and dropped our bags at a friends near by, on return at 7pm we were advised that the hotel was overbooked and they cldnt take us even though we had paid in full 3 months prior! Apparently it was company policy to overbook at the wknd. We eventually got moved to another hotel 20mins outside the city. When we arrived the shower wldnt work, we tries to get a taxi into town and had to wait 1hr 20mins as it was bonfire nite and so missed our dinner arrangements. All in all a disaster of a wknd break because of this. 11 November 2011

1.5 star ratingIt's warmDirty, uncomfortable bed, useless staff, too noisy to sleep as various rowdy groups passing through corridors all night, shower merely dripped - not powerfull enough to wash your hair with. All in all a horrible experience and I will never be staying in a travel lodge againHayley Doyke15 May 2012
2.0 star ratingThe bathroom was dirty especially the sink, one very small pillow each for the bed, no tea, only coffee sachets, and the television needed new batteries for the remote control. Don't try the food either because they nuke it to death in the microwave.unhappy chappy27 June 2012

2.0 star ratingRoom basic but clean. When we first arrived at the hotel and paid £10 for an early check in our room waa not ready. Upon returning 3 hours later our room still wasn't cleaned. When we went down and told reception they said someone would be up to clean in 10 minutes - we waited 30 minutes and when no one arrives we had to take our suitcases down again to see what the hold up was, and also to let them know there was a hole in the door and our heating didn't seem to work. None of the staff had taken us seriously until the 3rd time if asking, only then did someone come and take a look themselves. We then had to practically beg a member of staff to move us and demand our money back. We were told that a manager was not in until morning to get out money bag we'd paid for early check in and they found us another room. The new room was again not ready, so we had to go back to reception where another new member if staff greeted us and asked us to drop the attitude when we asked for our money back again however she then did finally find us a room which was ready and gave us the early check in money. Rooms were ok but lack of pillows and sheets. 15 April 2013
