1.5 star ratingVery friendly staff (reception and breakfast). Room furnishings excellent as new Kettle in bedroom is difficult to switch on or lift when boiled. Bad design (or designed by left-hander?). Could potentially cause a safety hazard.13 August 2008

4.5 star ratingGood location, front of house staff very tuned in. Security reacted to nutters having party in middle of night in nearby roomreturned late afternoon to blaring TV in empty room, someone elses key card in lighting slot, teacups from last night, no new towels! What was that about??? Felt glad we'd left no valuables in room ( although my underpants may have a place in the Tate eventually)25 November 2008

4.5 star ratingWe were made to feel welcome on arriving at the hotel by the staff, who are friendly and professional. The hotel itself is very nice; the rooms are nicely decorated, still very new, and beds are really comfortable. When returning to Liverpool we'd really like to stay here again. The Il Barista coffee bar has all the equipment and potential to serve great coffee, but unfortunately it does not: better to head to a nearby Costa Coffee. As a bar it does the job well though; some TV screens, nice seats and a good selection of drinks for everyone.01 January 2009
4.5 star ratingExcellent hotel super location has everything you need definitely be back.Only negatitive point is bar closes at 1.30am and no residents bar, we arrived late and fancied a drink could only get one the last time we styed bar open umtil nearly 3pm which I thought was better. Good crowd in bar until 12 then found out closed early went into town. I was with a party of 6 to celebrate a 60th party and flet this was the only thing which let the hotel down.04 February 2009
3.5 star ratingGreat position right opposite Liverpool 1 and next door to the Echo Arena, particularly good if you have booked concert seats. Bars & Restaurants close by thank goodness because the facilities in the hotel are not that good, and easy acccess to local transport for further exploring. It took us 45 mins to get access to our room, and then it was a disabled facility room, dont get me wrong if your are disabled I can really recommend the facilities, but my husband had to get on his knees to shave !! But there was no problem when we asked for a room change and the new room was excellent. The towels could have better, and the hairdryer was useless. Liverpool was great though, and I would stay at the hotel again, but would not expect great facilities, there is absolutely no atmosphere in the bar, Marymint15 April 2009

3.0 star ratingNear the docks, nice location, not an expensive taxi ride to the Cavern Bar.The breakfast was very ordinary.01 June 2009
4.0 star ratingVery central to explore Liverpool. Staff were very polite and the hotel was really clean. Good value for money.Very noisy corridors during the night with hen party. It would be useful if you kept hen/stag/large parties on seperate floors from families. I was visiting the city with my son and we were woken several times during the night with banging on doors and shouting.28 August 2009
3.5 star ratingLovely hotel and right on docks, within walking distance to shopping areas, very good location and easy links to bus for airport etcOn arrival at hotel, we were told that no reservation for room, (bed and breakfast) was received, we were reassured and informed that we will receive a room and hopefully by that afternoon the reservation would have been received by reception staff. the room was only booked 24hrs prior to arrival! this was all fine, nothing more was said or done. the next morning, we went for breakfast and on giving our room number to the breakfast hostess we were told that we were there as room only, we explained the situation of what happened the day before and she said she will sort that out. when it came to checking out we were told that the original reservation had still not been received and that i may have to pay again! i was able to bring up both my reservation confirmation and email of receipt on my phone and show these to the receptionist, she asked me to email these to her which i did, i still have these in my outbox to show that they were sent! I even showed the email to her and also double checked i was sending the email to the correct email address. the receptionist was Karen Little, althou she was helpful, she also made me feel as if i was in the wrong with the entire situation and also told me that the telephone number on the reservation conformation was incorrect, she made me feel as if i had faked the reservation! my friend and I must have stood at reception for 20 minutes while she tried to sort it out. finally it was agreed that we could go and leave our baggage in the store room and return later that afternoon when hopefully everything will be sorted. Karen advised me that she will be there when we return! On arrival back to the hotel we dealt with Wasif, once again i had to explain the entire situation to him, he went to the back office to speak with Karen, who wouldnt even come out to speak with us! Wasif said she never received the emails and therefore we were back to square one and had to start over again! Wasif then told me to bear with him for one moment, what i didnt realise was that he was about to leave me there standing for half an hour while he checked in a group party of 25 rooms! I was totally appaled at this! he had been dealing with me first and therefore should have stayed with me! I work in customer service and I know that you do not leave a customer you are dealing with to go and deal with another one! whenhe finally returned to me I had to go over everything again, he told me the only thing i could do was to pay for the room again and then send in both receipts and also eveidence from bank statement to prove we had paid twice, this time the payment he was asking for was for more than i had originally paid. Wasif then charged my credit card and before i left he decided to try the telephone number on the reservation. this was the number Karen said was not real! this number now worked for Wasif and they were able to tell him that yes there was a reservation and that it had been paid for! I wonder why Karen wasnt able to get this number working! At this stage Wasif now had to refund my credit card! In all i was at the reception for over an hour trying to resolve this! it was very frustrating on my behalf! It was also embarrassing for me infront of my friend and also due to the length of time it took, i almost missed my return flight home! I think an apology should have been given and I'm very dissappointed that none was received! what makes it worse is the fact that not once was an apology given! i was made to feel like i was at fault, i was left standing at reception while a large party was dealt with and while standing there i overheard another guy talking with another receptonist and he was having the same problem! 31 August 2009
5.0 star ratingModern, good location, large rooms, plenty of space in restaurant (especially at breakfast time), good bar and separate restaurant.TV did not hace teletext (good to find local news/weather) and only had 6 channels. I missed Sky.Ben03 September 2009

5.0 star ratingThis is our second stay at the Liverpool Jurys Inn, the first time with the kids, this time just myself & my Husband and once again we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We also chose to stay for the breakfast option this time, which we highly recommend! Ideal location for the docks & Liverpool One and good car parking at the multi storey. We are looking at booking a concert at the Echo arena, just next door, and will book the Jurys Inn again for our overnight stay. Fantastic views over the Mersey & the Echo wheel which is just (temporarily) outside. Overall a highly recommended hotel for families or couples, (children are welcome in the bar till late which was a bonus!)12 March 2010

4.5 star ratingVery friendly staff who were happy to help and directed us to cheap car parking close by. Good security on the front door at night but it did mean that friends not staying at the hotel weren't allowed to the residents bar with us. Clean rooms and a good nights sleep.Squirrel18 May 2010
5.0 star ratingThe Hotel is perfectly situated in the Albert Dock for easy reach of all parts of the City. It is in a prime location. The professionalism, friendliness and care of the staff is what makes it a perfect weekend away stay. We had one problem with noisy guests over the first night of our stay which was immediately rectified by a change of room on advising staff with the utmost coutesy. The food was excellent and really made us feel that we would like to visit again. The hotel had a number of hen parties. Unfortunately the doors to the rooms had to be slammed to ensure they closed. This is, to my mind, a design fault and means that you are disturbed everytime someone returns to their room which happened on our first night until 4am. 20 April 2010
4.5 star ratingThe staff were particularly helpful and cheerful. The hotel itself is modern, light, clean and very comfortable. The position of the hotel is perfect - the docklands is a very attractive area, but still close to the shops. There was a very lively atmosphere, which we enjoyed. However .....some people may be put off by how popular the hotel is with stag/hen parties. We were disturbed in the middle of the night by some guests returning home from clubs and by security staff wanting to check a room. 07 June 2010

4.5 star ratingExcellent location and close to Beatles Story, restaurants and barsOnly negative thing we found was no literature available at reception for visitors eg. leaflets, maps, etc and when we enquired about various Liverpool attractions and places the guy on duty at reception that day didn't seem to have much knowledge although he did speak with a Liverpudlian accent!! Otherwise, this is a great place to stay, just do your own research before you go!14 December 2010

5.0 star ratingFrom the moment we entered the hotel in Liverpool we felt welcome. We had booked for two days originally the 26th April to 28th April (2011) but on Monday the 25th rang to ask if we could book for that day. We were able to do so. We were given room 537 with a view of The Big Wheel, Albert Dock and the Liver Building - fabulous! The room was very comfortable and clean, the bed comfy, the bathroom great- excellent overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, the general atmosphere in the hotel was warm and welcoming 100% for everything. Will visit again.Nonenone30 April 2011

5.0 star ratingThe hotel staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, facilities were excellent. Food in the restaurant was delicious, but there could be more choice of cold buffet food at breakfast, cold meats, larger selection of cheeses etc. as in continental breakfast. Other than that no complaints whatsoever, in fact we are booking again for a short break in September this year.As mentioned above, there could be a larger selection of cold meats, cheeses etc to go with the buffet style breakfast. Evening food was a little cold, but nothing that could not be easily rectified.TD02 April 2012
5.0 star ratingVery friendly and professional staff. Was a Saturday night so when we got in after our night out early hours a lot of staff were present keeping an eye on everything which was good as felt safe so they wouldn't just let anyone in the hotel. Thankyou K03 April 2012

3.5 star ratingthe hotel served our purpose for the weekend, well positioned close to the city center. on arrival the receptionist was very rude, didnt smile once and looked like she didnt even want to attend to us!! the room looked clean on arrival but at closer inspection was not up to standards! stained towels, not enough towels for three adults, not enough tea/coffee for three adults, not enough plug sockets and there was no bin in the room. we ordered bar food on the sat eveing in the coffee bar but sadly the area was a mess, not enough staff on and the manageress looked very stressed , we waited 20 min at the bar to place a food order and when the food did arrive it was all wrong!!?? breakfast was a little better but sadly the resturant ran out of knives, forks kirsty 11 March 2013

4.5 star ratingThere where three of us staying her for a weekend and i have to say the staff where great the door men when we came in in the mornings were just hilarious. Eric and Bartholomew (well thats what they told us) where so friendly and made sure we were looked after. the beds are probably the most comfortable ive ever slept in. location is perfect for walking distance from the center of liverpool on the friday we decided to have lunch in the Hotel my fish was pretty bland and the chips where extremely under cooked my friends chicken burger was tasteless her chips also under cooked they got my other friends order wrong and when it was rectified she was given a stale roll again her chips also under cooked. but pizza express is right outside so we didnt go hungry.. all in all we had a great time and we were looked after extremely wellCrazy dublin girls18 June 2013

3.0 star ratingHotel is in a great position, with many great restaurants and bars in the area. The room was clean and the staff were very polite and helpful.breakfast was very poor, I have stayed in many hotels including many budget hotels and it was the worst breakfast we have ever had, had to make your own tea by putting a tea bag into a cup of warm water - awful.08 July 2013
4.5 star ratingFantastic staff especially shuana and the rest of the bar staff would definitely book to stsy there again Thought breakfast was over priced at £10 even though it was all you can eat I did feel like 8t was value for money would of rather paid less and had a set breakfaststeve10127 June 2013
4.0 star ratingwe booked 3 rooms in agroup booking when we arrived 2 rooms were close to eachother the 3rd room was on the floor below which wasn't acceptable for a group booking. We were also not advised when we booked or on the confirmation that £100 bond needs to be paid per room which resulted in £300 we needed to pay on arrival for our booking. The car park was also chargeable £10.00 for 24 hours and we had 2 cars, these should all be displayed clearly when making a booking!02 July 2013

4.0 star ratingCentral, nice room, big tv, nice breakfast and quietWhen we checked in I asked for a confirmation that we had breakfast inc. She confirmed. Every three mornings we stayed they stopped us and told that we didnt have the name on the list. Thats not good. I came there with my 2 sons, and three times they stopped us. When they checked with the desk, it was ok. Should not be necessary at all. I must mention that the staff stopping us was friendly and did not make a big number out of it. There was a coffee bar in the lobby. When we visited at 10 on saturday evening we met a bartender that was not having a good day. I guess so. I stop with that. I have been around and know that service is usually good in GB. Next time better:) By the . Wifi should be free. Jon Bekkevoll20 October 2013

2.5 star ratingManager was very good at customer service and promised a discounted rate next time. Some staff were very good and attentive. Lovely view and hotel in good position for docks and centre.Asked for a quiet room as I cannot sleep with noise - but was next to an air vent that continued humming all night and because of the situation of the room, the floodlights outside shone in until 2am at which point we had a hen party shouting and screaming in the hallway. I got very little sleep. Some staff were unprofessional including one young lady on the reception desk who was on the phone to a client and shouting across reception whilst dissing the client. Lady on the dining room entry at breakfast didn't make eye contact, just told us to wait and then asked for room number without looking up.Kim Glennon-Alty14 November 2016
