3.5 star ratingRoom was clean and adequate and serviced daily. Staff polite and friendly. The lift did not work for the entire time I was there (six days). Very tiring and exhausting to climb twelve flights of stairs to the fourth floor every time you wanted to return or leave. 03 October 2008
4.0 star ratingright near gran via metro, easy to get to,very busy outside but quiet in roomweather turned nasty it was pouring with rain and we were cold and there was no heating on in room when we came back, which wasnt very nice.but we would stay there again28 October 2008

2.0 star ratingThe location right in the heart of Madrid is perfect for visiting the city, for shopping, to get anywhere with the metro (station 50 meters). The price is relatively low.Despite de 3 stars, the hotel is more than basic, very very noisy (not only the Gran Via but the building itself), the staff makes 0 effort to speak english or to look friendly. 3 channels on tv, for the remote control you have to give a deposit !02 December 2008

4.0 star ratinglocation excellent and staff were friendly. We got what we paid for.quite noisy but this is to be expected in this central location - this wouldn't put me off going back bathrooms needs a refurbish22 January 2009

3.5 star ratinggood location for sitest.v only in spanish, hand held shower only, no plug for bath, loose tile in bathroom23 February 2009
1.0 star ratingGood locationIt was filthy. I woke up to a spider crawling across my face - enough said? The heat was broken, the bathroom was disgusting, and the staff was unhelpful. When I went down in the middle of the night to get new sheets for my bed since I didn't want to sleep with spiders as I have terrible allergies and nearly lost my leg from a nonpoisonous spider bite last month, the man at the desk told me to "calm down woman." Note, the entire exchange was in Spanish, which I speak fluently. Then they did not even refund me for the night even though I got no sleep. They even tried to make me stay the next night, which I had booked. This was advertised as a three star hotel, and I got there to find a dirty, unfriendly hostel. There were also trannie hookers in and outside of the hotel, which didn't make me feel too safe.21 April 2009

4.5 star ratingRight in the centre and just around the corner from the metro station. We were provided with map of the city and the main tourist information offices. The room was very clean, breakfast was enough to start the day coffee was very good, the front desk was staffed 24 hours, and all the staff were polite and helpfull. Could have done with a fan in the room as in June the temperature was in the 30's26 June 2009

2.0 star ratinglocalização(location)barulhento ao extremo, inclusive toda noite( too noisy), sem elevador(without elevator), muito calor nos quartos ,não possui nem vetilador,(a hot room without air condicinonator or fan), foi o pior hotel q estive em minha vida( the worst hotel that I have been in my life) não recomendaria a ninguem.....01 September 2009
4.0 star ratingTrès bon prix pour un hôtel de centre ville d'une capitale europeenne.04 September 2009
4.0 star ratingClean and simple, friendly staff - if you're looking for an affordable hostel very close to the downtown area, worth to consider. The surroundings are not the best: if you step out the hotel, turn right and you're in the downtown region. If you turn left, you're in the "red light district", prostitutes everywhere - and that part of Madrid is not recommended for tourists. If you're a girl alone, probably it's a better idea to look for a safer quarter of the city.Attila22 September 2009
