4.0 star ratingStaff were all friendly and helpfull Roof top pool was fantastic and was main reason we chose hotel in first place Good central locationBreakfast was generally ok but quality of food could have been improved i.e. selection of fresh fruit Pool was very busy in afternoon and it was difficult to get somewhere to lie down when we arrived around 4.00pm12 August 2008
4.0 star ratingVery helpful staff; excellent roof top garden and swimming pool.Smell from air conditioning//c~Shops, theatres, restaurants//18 August 2008

4.0 star ratinghelpful staff, maid very good, good breakfast and loclity of hotel very good, right next to the santa domingo metro. ideal for getting about. noisy outside in the nights but we were in a bustling city close to everrything so this could be expected. hotel was fine no problems at all28 February 2009
4.5 star ratingNice hotel no time to wander aroundThe porter could be more polity ( open- close door- good morning and so on)HOTEL STAFF VERY HELPFUL16 March 2009
4.0 star ratingHotel standard and position good. However almost 12 euros for 2 coffeess was , overpriced.02 April 2009
3.0 star ratingThe beds were cheap, flimsy things and the pillows were same. The walls are paper thin and you can hear a person 2 rooms down sneezing. You could also hear every time a door was opened and shut. So you therefore imagine what you can hear from the room next door. i had 3 awful nights sleep here and there is no quick fix for the problem as the hotel needs a lot of work to sort out the problem.20 April 2009
5.0 star ratingBoth my husband and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel . The hotel was booked as a 50th birthday present for myself and certainly up to and exceeded expectations . Facilities at the hotel were excellent and every tatsed catered for .Nothing negative to be found during our stay24 May 2009
4.0 star ratingGood location - would stay there again.27 May 2009
2.5 star ratingGreat Location, within walking distance to most sites. Poor Value for money, very small room, other than the swimming pool would only give this hotel 3 stars. Drinks in the hotel & by the Pool were very expensive 5 euro's for a Coke, 4.50 for a small beer and around the same for a coffee. 25 June 2009
5.0 star ratingrooftop swimming pool is a fantastic facility especially in the summer Rooms of a reasonable size and very clean14 July 2009
4.0 star ratingLocation is great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were very nice. Breakfast was good. The only problem was the rooftop bar & pool area was not open. I understand that it closes at the end of September but the weather was so nice that it would have been great if it had been open. 03 November 2009
2.5 star ratingNice ambiente and central location, nice view over the roofs of Madrid. There was a strange noise in the room like a huge aircdontioning (over the roofs of Madrid) outside. This noise was disturbing during the night (Room 911)03 December 2009
4.0 star ratingReally good location - not far from metro. Rooftop pool was brilliant and very relaxed atmosphere. Forget that you are in the middle of a busy city. Rooms were spacious - our room overlooked Gran Via. Barry23 August 2012
3.5 star ratingHotel receptionist was extremyl helpful with anything that we asked. Whether it was restaurant advise or bookings she helped us with all which was great seeing as it was our first time in Madrid. she really made our stay great and her recommendations on all activies were brilliant!Hotel rooms - again our room was really nice but basic. The cleaner only literally came in and made the bed. We didnt expect much but to clean the sink/dust would have been so much better as we stayed for 5 nights. Also, every morning we were woken to the sound of hammers/drills as they were doing some refurbishing. I get that this needs to be done but not @ 08:30 on a Sat morning. Lastly, the pool does not open until May or the pool area. this was advertised on your site, it was only when we got to the hotel that we found out that it was closed.24 April 2013
5.0 star ratingLoved the Balcony and the pool06 May 2013
4.5 star ratingLocation, can't beat it. Metro right outside. 3 theatres within 1 minute walk showing Lion King, Cabaret and Madame Butterfly. Some 20 plus restaurants/cafes/bars within same time walk. Loads more reataurants within 5 to 15 minutes and sights very accessible. City tour bus stop just across the road. Hotel very quiet considering location. Decor and furnishings in the quality bracket. Lobby bar a delight for quiet free wi-fi time. Roof-top garden and swimming pool perfect change of perspective for being in the centre of a city. Staff excellent even down to the bell-boys and security guards.A bit pricey for on-site snacks and drinks, however, with so many local choices outside the door at a third of the price not really a problem but, if you're having a pool day, you don't want to drag yourself out. Depending on room choice, you may not have tea-making facilities, would be better if all rooms had facility.Daniel18 August 2015
4.0 star ratingThe rooftop area with pool and supporting facilities was a better size than we had expected and the ground floor reception and bar had a good feel. Our room was fairly well decorated for an old hotel. lifts struggled to cope and coffee making in our room would have been nice.Mark Pargeter23 September 2016
