2.5 star ratingCheap at certain times.Although built fairly recently, it's seedy and poorly maintained.Various bits of trim in the bathroom needed fixing. Shower is small with just curtain ( sticks to your legs, I hate this!) Walls have scrapes and dirty marks. Windows filthy. Worst of all, we were kept up all night by shouting teenagers running up and down the corridors banging on each others doors, drunk and noisy. Never again!Rosa11 March 2012
3.5 star ratingGood value for money.Sea front hotel isn't on the sea front. Reception staff very abrupt bordering on being rude. Bar not open at 11pm where the times said 1am. Spoilt a great day somewhat. 06 April 2012
3.0 star ratingRudeness of staff serving breakfast.I really dont think the breakfast was even worth 10 percent of the price we paid!Mattions10 May 2012
2.5 star ratingnear the centre of brightonnoisy area, expensive parking, hotel poor, asked for an extra pillow and they were not allowed to give you one.Mandy21 June 2012
3.0 star ratingThe bedroom area was more than adequate, I was satisfied. There was feaces spread behind the bathroom door which I was most displeased about and complained to the night guard demanding a refund however he could not accommodate my needs and my partner and I had to leave early in the morning, I felt this affected the birthday getaway deeply and was unhappy with the bathroom.claudia04 July 2012
3.5 star ratingbreakfast included in our room was good and a good choice - fantastic locationdecor a little tired room 814, bathroom a little sad water pressure really bad, took ages to wash and rinse hair, and bed very soft, but all in all ok for price and locationburtyhoover24 October 2012
2.5 star ratingIt's location and being low costThe hotel is very tired and could do with a re-decoration and clean up. Although we got a discount for NCP parking it's still quite expensive. The shower didn't work very well04 December 2012
3.5 star ratingHeavy police presence due to an incident overnight. Also, had items taken from our room during breakfast. Staff not very keen to help afterwards.08 April 2013
3.5 star ratingStaff patient despite very busy at reception. Good locationHotelopia failed to advise hotel of our booking wasting us precious time as we were going to a 50th birthday party. It took a good 40minutes to sort out and re-book us in. We were very stressed as Brighton hotels were full that weekend, so we had booked well in advance. Luckily they managed to find 2 rooms for us and luckier still I had printed off all the booking information or I would have been charged again!!!Jackie Smith18 September 2014
3.5 star ratingBed was comfortable. That's ablut it.Tired, in need of a refurbushment to public areas. The room was very stuffy. There is no aircon and it became very uncomfortable. I had a very broken night's sleep as a result. I ended up arriving at the hotel prior to the 1500 checkin time and was forced to pay a 10 pound early checkin fee. No discussion about it - it was pay up or go away. Bad policy. I'm not likely to be back in Brighton but I would certainly avoid this property if I were.Anonymous 19 September 2014

4.5 star ratingFriendly staff go that extra mile to help you. definitely would re visit. Yeh bit traffic noise but that's life not much hotel can do about traffic is there bed comfortable sheets clean and white , mattress protectors all you need. Some areas bit shabby. But such a busy place when would be the right time for decorating.Anonymous 01 November 2014
4.0 star ratingStaff were great in sorting out an issue with a broken toilet. The breakfast didn't have many options for veggies, would be nice to see things such as hash browns and mushrooms and possibly a choice of egg.Anonymous 15 December 2014
2.5 star ratingcentral positionLift out of order standard of room not good - ceiling showed signs of water egress from upstairs quick check in unavailable at 3-30 pm so had to wait half hour was not told we were parked in the wrong carpark for discount when we arrived and showed reception our ticket, if we had been told we could have moved car, but ended up paying £25 deebee26 December 2014
2.5 star ratingStaff were friendly enough. Buffet breakfast was ok. Bed was comfy. This hotel is in serious need of some love and attention. The lifts still have stained ashtrays in them!! The rooms are dated and a bit run down. We had a slightly stale odour in our room. Didn't get a lot of sleep due to the howling wind coming through the door. In the end we had to wedge the door open with a shoe to stop the noise. Travelodge's are generally good value for money. But this is one of the worst I've stayed in Anonymous 20 April 2015
