4.5 star ratingReally friendly staff. Great service at breakfast you feel really looked after. Anonymous 22 May 2016
2.5 star ratingnice main entrance area, wooden decor, nice seating areas in lobby, bar pleasant.Reception poorly sited from main door, TACKY TACKY TACKY STEAK ON SEA! What a name! Cheap laminated menus, seems hotel has lost its , does it want to be classy or tacky. Looks so bad from the front with the steak on sea attached to the hotel. Room decor is dated. Bathroom was shabby, damaged door, dated fittings and decor. No mini bar. Definetly will not be staying again, would be embarrassed to bring a friend or my partner. THIS HOTEL IS REALLY NOT A MODERN 4 STAR, WHO ARE YOU KIDDING? steve and sam17 September 2012

4.0 star ratingHotel rooms are well appointed with plenty of space and comfy beds. The main thing to note is this hotel location cannot be beaten it is in the middle of everything. Breakfast was great plenty of choice. Price was fab for a Saturday night. Ask for a high floor for a nicer room and less late night/road noise.Room decor is a little tired. I feel the cleaning staff are not up to much as the room (and have noticed this at the same hotel in the past) are only given a quick once over. The bath panel was grubby and parts of the room needed a more in depth clean. It would not put me off staying again but it is a shame as it would make a real difference. No air con must be awful in high summer but fine in Nov.lolab06 November 2012
4.0 star ratingBig friendly hotel. Staff were welcoming. Central location. No heating in the room and we stayed in December. Could do with redecorating. Basic but ok for one night.Albal04 December 2012

2.0 star ratingFriendly staff / Comfortable bed/ locationRoom very shabby, wallpaper coming off the walls and tiles loose in the bathroom. Extremely noisy due to late night revellers, also emptying bins at 7.00am. Did not get a good nights sleep. Not a 4 star hotel. It is in need of re-decoration and refurbishment. I would not recommend this hotel. Parking is extremely expensive at £23 a night .Tezza06 April 2013
4.0 star ratingHaving visited the hotel some years ago when owned by Barcelo the bedrooms have been refurbished to a very good standard and now has a four star rating. Its ideally placed for the lanes shopping and only five minutes to the pier, lots of restaurants are within walking distance to the hotel. Staff are really pleasent and obliging. The hotel is on the main road and can be noisey, we had rooms 255, 256 31 August 2013

3.0 star ratinglocation and staff were excellentroom was shabby and located along the side of the hotel right opposite the dump bins from a neighbouring hotel, which were emptied between 5 -6 am, dump bins full of bottles being emptied into a metal dump truck, certainly jolts you from sleep! the windows were filthy which did disguise the view.Anonymous 05 January 2015
2.5 star ratingStaff were pleasant enough£4.50 supplement for smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on top of a standard charge of £15.95 is extortionate, especially considering scrambled eggs are included in the standard price, so £4.50 is the charge for some smoked salmon. The staff seemed more concerned with ensuring I was charged than actually processing the order and so coffee and the dish were delayed. Parking is also a nonsense at £23 for valet parking garage when it is the same price to park in a traditional car park across the street where you would retain access to your car throughout.Anonymous 06 November 2015
5.0 star ratingVery friendly staff lovely room We really enjoyed our stay On busy road but there were ear plugs in the room we did not need them Parking was good but expensive £25.00 a night Anonymous 02 March 2017
2.0 star ratingGreat location, lovely car park chaps .Offish receptionist , room needed dusting, bath needed black and curlys removed , so warm and could not open window , in side room facing Holiday inn Windows, noise from 2 am to 4.20_am Anonymous 03 March 2017
3.0 star ratingGreat staff, very dog-friendly. Lovely breakfast and unbeatable location. We got a room right outside the lift and there were a lot of hen-do / stag-do parties or drunk people that walked past our room in the middle of the night to early morning that kept on waking us up (DON'T stay in room 104). Our room is right outside the exhaust pipes so we couldn't open the window - it's loud and the air is not ideal, but there's no A/C in the hotel rooms either. Luckily it wasn't that hot but it it's still not pleasant. Room is old and the bathroom wasn't as clean as usual hotel standard (they left the last guest's soap on the soap rack). I'll bring your own slippers as well as the carpet didn't seem clean and they don't supply ropes nor slippers.Anonymous 01 August 2016
