4.5 star ratingVery friendly staff and great value. Would use again.Maybe the bedrooms could use a more modern touch but to be fair we weren't in them longToneboy10 January 2012
3.5 star ratingLocation and free parking very good. When i asked the staff about the showers in the gym and if they were an improvement on the showers in the rooms, combined probebly with pity because the fact i was utterly gutted that I had found such a tatty room (rm 12) to spend 3 nights celebrating my husband's 40th was written all over my face, they gave me an upgrade to room 48 for the last night. The room was better in every , nice clean smart decor, nice towels, good shower like stepping into another world.Cannot understand why a hotel could possibly want to have such a difference in room quality. People like me would ordinarily go away thinking every room is of the same shocking quality and go away without complaining, but perhaps write a bad review on a website and never go back. An upgrade should be about a nicer view, bigger room, more toiletries, a bigger tv, not a feeling you have gone to a completely different hotel. The manager who gave me the upgrade said she thought room 12 was nice enough, but maybe apart from the mismatched furnature and bathroom tiles she should have laid on the bed and looked up at the hideous ceiling tiles 24 May 2012
