5.0 star ratingRoom was very nicely decorated and was always clean. Very much enjoyed staying at the Pergamin. This is barely a negative review but the plug hole in the shower was very slow to drain or was partially blocked. Could never take my time in the shower. However this is did not ruin my stay.Flo copes07 October 2012

3.5 star ratingPositives - Very good value for money. - The hotel was comfortable and well equipped for the price we paid. - The room was well sized, although it must be mentioned that we did get a free upgrade to a triple. - The hotel was quite centrally located with only a short walk to the old town. - The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. - The room was very clean and well maintained. - The breakfast was an extra expense at 50 zl per day but it was good quality food and therefore good value for money. Negatives - NOISE. There was both internal and external noise pollution which negatively impacted the quality of our stay at the hotel. - There were multiple hostels on the same road as the hotel, therefore it was usual to hear noise from drunken people returning to their hostel in the middle of the night. - The hotel was located on a busy road with a tram line at the front of the hotel. Whenever a tram when past, one could feel the whole hotel vibrating. The trams did not run during the night but they did re-commence at approximately 6 AM. - There were also shops next to the hotel and therefore there was noise from early morning delivery vans. - Inside the hotel, there was very poor sound insulation between the rooms. One could easily hear the conversations of other guests through the walls, even when they speaking at a normal volume. - Parts of the central staircase were not carpeted. Some areas of the central staircase where bare stone, meaning that loud footsteps could be heard in the middle of the night. - Other guests often returned to their rooms in the middle of night talking loudly and they woke us up. Kraków has a busy nightlife so it is normal for many people to return to their rooms very late. Usually this is not a problem for us but as I said before, this hotel had very poor sound insulation. Conclusion - There are a lot of positive factors about this hotel. But unfortunately, we would not stay there again because it was noisy and this lead to a poor sleep experience. I would rather spend extra money and stay somewhere quieter. Anon.08 December 2013

4.5 star ratingStayed with my partner in August 2014. Very nice room, walls a bit thin. Good location. Helpful staff. Through the hotel we booked a trip to the salt mines which was very good and much easier than doing ourselves as we had door to door transport and didn't have to wait in the very long queues.
