The elegant Hotel Ester enjoys an ideal situation in Kazimierz, the old Jewish quarter of Krakow, only 50 metres away from the Old Synagogue. It has a sumptuous interior design and features a restaurant with Polish and Jewish cuisine. 4.5 star rating Excellent all round. The recoption staff were very courteous and helpfull. For a holiday with a typical Polish/Jewish atmosphere this is perfect. None!26 August 2008
5.0 star ratingThe Ester Hotel in Krakow is situated in a fantastic location in a peaceful away from it all square, the room we had on the second floor over looked the rear of the hotel which was nice and quiet. The room was exceptionally clean, with good facilities, ie mini fridge, tv, air con and a new bathroom. The hotel has been recently updated and this shows as they have managed to combine the old character with the modern touches you may need. The outside terrace for eating and drinking at the front of the hotel is a super place to while away an hour, have a coffee or beer and enjoy the amibiance of the square. A fab hotel, that we would be happy to recommend to family and friends. none //c~The Jewish quarter is a hive of streets, alley ways and squares, great to get lost in and loads of places to eat and drink. The old town square Krakow is a 10-15 minute walk, longer if you get sidetracked! The tram into the old square is around the corner, however we found it more enjoyable to walk, you see so much more. The buildings are fantastic and they are well looked after. The food and drink prices in the Jewish quarter are alot less than the old town square of Krakow and it is slighly less busy. //g~We took a trip to Auchwitz and Birkenau concentration camp, which is a must if you are in the area, you can do the trip by yourself, but if you do the organised tour you learn so much more of the history, our guide Kate was very knowledgeable and gave a great insight to the whole experience. It is something we will not forget in a long time.25 August 2008

4.5 star ratingStaff very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with a good standard of presentation. A surprisingly delightful restaurant serving a range of excellent food at very reasonable prices. A very good breakfast buffet with a wide choice of food. Overall, I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a pleasant stay and good value for money.09 October 2008
4.5 star ratingGreat location and good restaurants and bars on the doorstep and only a 20 minute walk to the main square.27 October 2008
5.0 star ratingThe hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel had a really pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast buffet contained a wide selection of food to suit all tastes. While it was within walking distance from the city centre there was no need to go to the centre on an evening as both the hotel and the other restaurants around the hotel produced excellent food.Only negative thing I would comment on is it would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.02 November 2008

4.5 star ratingVery well placed in quiet jewish quarter right next to a chouice of quality restaurants and quiet but very friendly bars - very good value for money - rated as 3 star but I would say more 4 star for quality of finishes and furnishingNo kettle and coffee/tea facilities in rooms - only two bottles of water which weren't replaced when finished, rooms a bit small but in keeping with the historic building and local area17 November 2008
4.5 star ratinggood hotel in an area close enough to old town as well as being in the jewish quarterthe room had a fridge but we were not able to use it because the power cable was too short ,no coffee making facilities, also only one english speaking tv channel , a few more cable channels would be nice but thats only my opinion ! 29 March 2009
5.0 star ratingvery nice situated to the Szeroka "square" with all its small restaurants and bookshops. Quiet but still close to the center.14 April 2009
4.0 star ratingThe hotel was very conveniently situated but at times very noisy. Our room overlooked the terrace restaurant which was popular at times. Also a lot of people in the square. Worst part we had an inter-connecting door with the next room, and we didn't know the people well enough to share their most intimate moments! However the staff were very friendly and overall it was good value. As above, noisy at times.JB25 September 2009
