2.5 star ratingThe location was very good. The hotel was within walking distance to the French Quarter and Canal Street. The hotel also had a decent continental breakfast.Check in was a nightmare. The hotel claimed they never had my reservation. I showed them my booking confirmation and told them the room was prepaid, but instead of finding me a room they chose to blame someone else for the error. According to them it was the fault of the third party booking site (Hotel Beds and Hotelopedia). Since the hotel was completely sold out according to the staff and manager (Palestine Riles), they attempted to send us to some other motel in an unknown area. My family and I had to wait over an hour with two children and an infant while I had to argue with the manager that I was not going to the other motel. Finally after we called Hotel Beds together on speaker phone and it was confirmed that it was a La Quinta error the manager agreed to find my family a room (even after she swore up and down that they had no rooms). Once the manager told her staff to find us a room they all treated us like unwelcome guests. This hotel was not worth this hassle.J17 March 2013
