3.5 star ratingStandard hotel with good location concerning events at the RDS. Rooms quite spacious. Good connections to the airportHotel should have AC in the rooms. Room furniture and bathrooms quite old, needing urgent upgrade. Internet wifi very expensive and slow. Should be free.17 October 2012
4.0 star ratingExcellent staff, good value, clean and excellent locationBreakfast food was a little neglected with most of the fried food dried up. Bar prices frightening! Arklight12 March 2013
3.5 star ratingLong wait at reception to book in. When we were unpacking a lady walked in as she had a key card for our room. This was a lack of care and poor security on the part of the reception. Errors do happen though but what annoyed us was the the problem was handled. Nobody in reception either understood our problem when we phoned down or they just were not listening. It took nearly an hour for them to change the key card for our room and the lady had to wait another hour for them to locate her room as her husband had already booked in in a group booking but they hadn't listened to her explaining this. I actually took this up with the manageress on duty as the staff were rather abrupt and off hand with us when we told them we had missed the racing that night due to the fiasco.. She was very efficient and kind and hopefully the staff will have some further training in listening to guests. Unfortunately that same night when we returned to our room we could not get in. We had to trail down to reception, wait until other guests were booked in and then the night receptionist told us that the key had been cancelled again!! He sorted us out with another key immediately. We went through the next few days without problems due to not being in the hotel much and eating out, but on our last morning , with check out time at noon, we were disturbed at 9.15 am by the maid coming in to change our room!!!! Why would she want to change the room and have us able to still use the room until 12?! We have stayed there once, before a special occasion in Dublin and booked there again for memory sake but we have decided we will not return to this hotel.17 July 2013
4.0 star ratingThe hotel in general is quite good and the room was spacious and clean throughout. A little bit detailed upkeep of the bathroom I.e. paintwork, tiling, hair dryer and telephone could help to improve the standard but still very happy and would recommend the hotel to anyone.; Anyone who wants to make use of busses and dart this is the place to choose. We were surprised how early the restaurant and pub stop serving dinner. We are used to eat late and had to rush to have dinner. Food was good but menu is small and does not change and no variation between restaurant and pubTal- Bida. 21 July 2013
