Hotel Information

Built in 2010, this air-conditioned hotel was created by transforming one floor of a 19th century residential flat whilst still preserving its unique architectural style. The spectacular Andrássy Avenue, the Oktogon, Liszt Ferenc squares and Nagymez Street, which is known as the theatre district of the city, can be easily reached on foot. Guests that like to go shopping can spend time in one of the biggest shopping centres in Europe - the Westend is only 10-15 minutes away on foot. Heroes Square, the opera house and the Museum of Fine Arts are a 6-minute walk away, St. Stephen's Basilica can be reached within a 15-minute walk. The venue itself offers nicely decorated, air-conditioned rooms that feature en suite bathrooms, double beds, satellite TVs and WiFi. Guests can take advantage of the 24-hour reception and check-out services, so they are free to come and go as they wish.

2.5 star ratingRoom was kept clean by hote cleaningl staff.A very poor standard set up. Dont use it. This hotel can hardly be referred to as a 'true' hotel. It is the top 3 floors of a private apartment block/house that have been converted to rentable bedrooms with shower. That's it!. These rooms, as they can best be described, are very very basic with a very poor standard of carpetting, beds and furniture. The accomodation is effectively an annex of bedrooms situated about half a mile away from what the staff refer to as the 'sister' hotel. But annoyingly there is no reference to ANY of this in the official hotel description. Our party group was fortunate in that we had pre-arranged a courier taxi related to the Hotel booking site. Had we not done this we would have had very great difficulty in locating this 'hotel' and as we arrived later in the evening.... we could have quite literally been without accomodation on our first night as there was no mention of a nearby main 'sister' hotel where we could have got assistance. When we arrived we vhad difficulty in raising the hotel Rep and were many minutes wondering if we were even in the right location. There is no sign that identifies the SILVER Hotel except for a tiny tiny name plaque on a side wall in the locked entrance doorway(a sign approx only 10cm x 10 cm) The 'hotel' Rep was very very poor. she was hardly ever around to be consulted and whenever we needed to ask anything she totally struggled to understand English. Indeed she was just inclined to send us to the 'sister' hotel but and mainly for us to pay over our City Taxes imposed for our stay. That seems effectively what she was there for, but she couldnt even give us clear directions to the 'sister' hotel. Access to the rooms was by a tiny lift which only allowed 2 people at a time...we were a party of 3 and it was really really annoying that one person had to be stranded everytime we came and went from the room. The stairway to the rooms appeared to be boarded up so if had there been a Fire all the 30 or 40 rooms on the top 3 floors would have been in peril. There is building work going on on each of the 3 levels of bedrooms. We were not given ANY logistical instructions in case of Fire by the 'hotel' Rep... all that we were given were the room keys and then even though it was nearly midnight and we wanted to get rested after our journey all the Rep was bothered about was when we were going to pay the City Taxes on the room!! But the Reps knowledge of Englishwas so inadequate I doubt she could have explained it anyway. There were no written Fire escape instructions displayed in the room. There were no hot drink facilities in the room, which are rather standard facilities in this day and age. The only 'facility' was a very very poor condition under-table refrigerator.....which was described by the Rep as a 'mini bar' but devoid of a single bottle of drink of any kind, not even Water. I WOULD NOT recommend this accomodation to anybody for future use. I WILL NOT use this accomodation again. At the conclusion of the stay we wanted to ask the Rep for some advice and information. We asked her the same question about six times and her only response was "What is the question?" Ridiculous!J.Yates13 May 2012

4.5 star ratingIt has a good location on Andrasy street - there's the monument, Art museum, Botanical garden and the Zoo on one side, and the other side goes until near the Danube. The room could've been bigger, but it's ok. The hotel and the room were very clean, towels were changed on a daily basis. The staff could be more friendly.Anonymous 17 July 2017
