4.0 star ratingThe price-quality ratio is very positive. It's located quite near of the monumental area. The breakfast is good. There is no lift in the 5th floor that means you have to carry up the baggage one floor (from the 4th to the 5th) if your room is in the 5th floor. The surroundings of the hotel are a little untidy, especially at night.26 August 2008
3.5 star ratingCentrally located Reception area refurbished Good choice at breakfast / beware of the coffee (not nescafe / more mellow birds)Bar nearly 3 times more expensive for a beer than next door Rest of hotel is getting tired / rooms require upgrading23 September 2008
3.0 star ratingStaff were very attentive & took all comments seriously , genuinely trying to resolve any issues. Bedding very clean & towels changed daily. Breakfast good for the money. The reception areas clean & fresh.Carpet in our room was really grubby & the bathroom was 'tired' with mould showing in the tile grouting & sealants. This is a very old building & it shows reflected in the price.28 September 2008
4.5 star ratingThis was a very clean hotel and for what i paid very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to see Budapest on a budget that allows or if they can add a few extra pounds so as not to stay in a Hostel. The staff were very very helpful and made my entire stay easy and enjoyable. It was close to the Synagogue and some lovely bars (i can recommend the bar Queen Sorozo). The reception area was always clean. I have stayed in other cities and not been impressed by the cleaniness of the rooms but at this hotel there was nothing to fault. The room always felt clean and the towels and sheets were spotless. The only bad thing about the hotel was breakfast. There was little food for offer in regards to fruit etc. Also the tables were squashed in and you could bearly move around them to get to a free table.07 October 2008
4.5 star ratingIt was as expected, good The breakfast was excellant, the staff very good and helpful. RegardsI didn' t manage to watch english tv programs in my room, the tv programs were in hungarian.27 October 2008

4.0 star ratingFriendly staff at reception desk, good breakfast, simple rooms but everything you need for a short stay.Shortage of hot water (early) morning. Bath needs a shower curtain/screen.14 November 2008

2.5 star ratingConveniently within walking distance of interest places-Ants in the bathroom! -Bathtub could unfortunately not be plugged and filled, the cap being too small??? So water running and impossible to take a bath... -Very VERY thin walls = could hear the neighbour shouting at wife/snoring -staircase not heated / rooms overheated: had to turn off the heat for three days before we could sleep without waking up in sweat. -breakfast was simply terrible and disgusting: I never in my life tasted anything remotely as gross as what they called "coffee". They'd better leave the breakfast part out of the deal.18 January 2009
3.0 star ratingNice size room, clean bedlinen and bathroom clean although careful use of shower recommended as it easily leaks floor. The coffee and tea served at breakfast is absolutely disgusting, looks like dish water and tastes even worse!! Orange juice instead of weak watery squash would have been nice too!19 January 2009
4.0 star ratingThe reception staff were really good and took time to explain how transport worked and advised us of good places to go.I believe my wallet was stolen from the bar. I definately had it in the bar as i paid for drinks then it wasn't anywhere to be seen....20 January 2009
4.5 star ratingit was lovely and warm as we were there in february, very clean, professional staff.excelent position, within easy walking distance of main attractions.the only thing was that it was a bit noisy at night from the bar next door though we were so tired from our daily outings that we slept like logs. good value, good position.01 March 2009

3.5 star ratingThe staff were very helpful and friendly. Easy check in serviceThe food really was abysmal. An awful breakfast - I found it hard to find anything decent to eat. The juice and coffee were disgusting and a lot of the cold meat was spam - made me think it was a Monty Python hotel! The hotel really needs to raise its game on the food front13 March 2009
3.0 star ratingVery friendly staff. Very positive response to my request to supply flowers for my wife's birthday, with a bottle of sparkling wine kindly provided gratis by the hotelThe layout and structure of the building means that guests returning late at night almost inevitably create noise to disturb other earlier sleepers. The hard floors and lack of carpeting is the main issue, but also late arrivals should be asked to keep their voices down.????11 May 2009
3.0 star ratingNice staff, very friendly. Good location. The breakfast was, as I read on other reviews awful. Despite being on the third floor, I also noticed ants crawling up the plug hole in my shower. I notified the cleaner who was not very helpful. Also, the bedsheet appeared dirty on first inspection although the room was generally good.01 June 2009

4.5 star ratingVery good hotel for that price. Only minro thing is that it was a little bit noisy (no good sound isolation) but probably because I'am a very light sleeper.11 June 2009
