5.0 star ratingVery helpful staff, very good reception at the arrival, rooms are very beautiful. It was very nice to have breakfast on the terrace.Very nice hotelUnfortunately, there were some insects in the room but the receptionist offered me another room straight away.03 September 2008
4.0 star ratingThe hotel was truly magical in terms of the "Arabian Nights" experience - the decor was beautiful and the staff were helpful and friendly.08 September 2008
4.5 star ratingFriendly, helpful staff, good value for moneyRandom food for breakfast and not topped up during the day so late diners lucked out.17 September 2008

4.5 star ratingNice welcome, clean rooms, good air conditioning, interesting decorThe hotel pool needed a clean, leaves were floating in it and the water wasn't very clear, which was a shame as otherwise it looked nice.02 October 2008
2.5 star ratingWe originally booked a 3* room but this was small and dingy so we upgraded to 5* for only £100 more for the week. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We got food poisoning the 2nd night of our stay not from the hotel but another restaurant, Dar-Essalam! Dont go there. The staff at the hotel were very helpful in helping us finding a pharmacy. Dont buy bottled water from the hotel. Expensive! Better to tg out for breakfast, sweet breads and figs! Yuk! Although pool is adequat it doesnt get much sun and is freezing. There are plenty of other hotels with bigger pools that you can use too. Take a taxi for 5-10MAD to Hotel Es Saardi down the road, they have a bigger pool that gets sun all day and a nice pool side terrace that serves nice food.03 October 2008
4.5 star ratingI thought this hotel was a great value for the money. My friend and I loved the decor. The room was very clean. We loved the Moroccan style dinner where we dined with two friends from Switzerland. The hotel was farther from the old part of the city than we thought it would be. We walked/hitch hiked then caught the bus back. The breakfast was good but there was no fresh fruit at the breakfast. There were too many pastries for what I'm used to.28 October 2008
4.5 star ratingVery impressive reception area. Very comfortable beds, clean and tidy with towels changed every day. Location ok, situated down a quiet side street although a good 20 minutes walk into the centre.Although impressive with the water feature, moroccan light and coloured tiling, the reception was not welcoming as this is very dark, dismal and very cold (end November/early December). The staff were even wrapped up in coats and scarfs. Breakfast is on the rooftop terrace in a "tent/marquee" with lounge style seating and really low tables. All this would be superb in the summer but hunched up over a low table wrapped up in all your clothes/coats/scarfs is not an ideal to enjoy breakfast. There was an oil heater in the "marquee" which was tucked inbetween the sofas and was not used. 03 December 2008
4.5 star ratingThe hotel staff were very helpful and polite and the decoration of the hotel is beautiful. For the price, this was a fabulous stay. The breakfast is limited and its cold up there on the roof. 29 November 2008
3.5 star ratingInteresting and fascinating place to stay. Staff generally helpful. Lady who did the Hammam (steam bath) was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Reception staff on the whole were helpful. Thank you. Rooms well cleaned and nice touches with bed making. Well done ladies !Weather was cold and the rooms took time to heat up. The lighting in the room was poor and I had some difficulty being able to read in the room. Crockery at breakfast was cracked (poor hygiene) and this was very poor. Some fresh fruit at breakfast would have been nice. The orange juice was very strong and too sweet. Some male staff at breakfast seemed unfriendly. There were no cups at all one morning so unable to have a hot drink.20 December 2008
3.5 star ratingThe staff are very friendly and responded kindly to any questions or requests made during my stay. The ensuite facilities are in dire need of an update, Tub in room 39B was chipped and a lot of the tiles on the walls are cracked and shabby. Shower curtain rod rusty. Room very cold even with the heat on. Overall the entire property is cold. 23 January 2009

4.5 star ratingHotel was beautiful, clean and staff very very helpful. Excellent decoration, really morrocan. Nice that it was 20 mins for centre and all hustle and busle. Would go back to hotel if visiting Marrkash again. Our room was very dark, no windows only a small door in t corner, but only there a small amount of the time so not a problem.Sara Dunphy21 June 2009
1.5 star ratingThe price was very competitive, staff were friendly at first but when there were problems they were not helpful or friendly, they just did not want to know. This has been one of the worst hotel experiences of my life due to the poor (or lack of) customer service when I had an incident when I had 400 euros stolen in my locked suitcase in my room. Not only were staff very unprofessional and uncaring, they also made comments to the effect that I was lying! The manager who was sitting in the waiting lobby when I reported this didn't even bother to come to the desk. He continued to sit there and text on his phone! It was unbelievable. The staff at reception just asked questions about what happened which took all of five minutes and didn't even have the courtesy to come to the room to investigate and after the five minute questioning declared that it was not possible. No comment about investigating it or nothing! Not only did I have money stolen from me but was made to feel like I was lying. I had to ask strangers on the street to go to the police station to report this, they weren't even willing to take me there or assist in any . The next day when I was due to fly to the airport and my airport transfer (which was included in the hotel booking) had not called to organise a time, reception again were not willing to make that call to enquire even after the incident with the stolen money. When I told them very calmly that I was not happy with their service and would be letting my friends and family know, their words were 'you go right ahead, you have that right' and then made comments about the money not being stolen because the lock was still in the suitcase. I made them aware that there was a cut in the front of the pocket and the lock was not very secure. What I am most angry with is not so much the stolen money, I guess I take responsibility for not leaving it in the safe, but I am really angry with the staff responded after this incidient. Five minutes of questioning and then comments of 'that is not possible'. I know myself that the money is gone and I will not be able to claim it from insurance so I have nothing to gain to report it but on principle, but they just didn't want to know and I was made to feel like a criminal. I would definitely not be recommending this hotel to people and as they have suggested, I will be telling everyone that is thinking of going to Marrakesh about my experience at the Moroccan House Hotel.11 June 2009
3.5 star ratingClean, well facilitated rooms. Handy to have a fridge freezer, safe and a TV. The arrival to hotel very welcoming and warming, great lobby area, jaw droppingly beautiful. Descent variety for breakfast for a week. Pushing it over two weeks. Good location and costs 70 pence to 1 pound to get into the old Medina assuming you get them to put on the meter.Fridge/freezer and safe not included in price of room. Rooms do not uphold the quality of the rest of hotel. Poor shower power.11 July 2009

2.0 star ratingWe booked our 2 night stay at Moroccan house hotel on the 5th October 2009. and our stay was 14th and 15th february 2010. upon arrival at the hotel, we were told due to a "technical difficulties" were were being moved a different local hotel for our first night (valentines). we were promptly asked to move to different seats in the lobby to accomdate a large number of guests which were shortly arriving. We were also offered a complimentary meal that evening, and were told we would be given a suite on our second night, (to compensate being moved) The hotel we were moved to was awful, dirty floor and pillows, with a tiny bath with no plug which was cracked all over and had a broken toilet seat. It was also located next to a very loud and bust main road, which made sleeping very difficult due to the constant traffic and noise which persisted throughout the entire night. Our complimentary meal, which we took on 14th february (valentines evening) was appauling. we were shoved a already seated table of four guests and were expected to share a series of small, poor quality and disgusting meals between 6. Me and my partner were not impressed by the outright rude service of our waiter who slammed food the table, did not even answer simple questions, despite his speaking english quite fluently. Our Valentines evening and night was utterly ruined by this hotel. Our experience of customer service was poor. Breakfast was sub-standard. Not enough clean plates or cups and a lack of food for all the guests. (similar to our evening meal). Also, the "technical difficulties" which necessitated our move to a different hotel, seemed not to affect any other guests staying at the hotel. as we found out from the 4 guests who shared our eveing meal. Large numbers of other guests were still housed at the hotel, so we deduced our move to a different hotel was because of an error on their part, they probably overbooked and decided to move us to a different cheap hotel. despite our booking being made 5 months in advance! Do not stay here. The novelty of the Gaudy decor wears off and grates on you after a short time. (even on our one night stay). Breakfast was a shambles.Disgruntled Valentine Couple.18 February 2010
3.5 star ratingStaff were very friendly and helpful. Reasonable sized pool. Close to restaurants and shops.Initial room was very small and compact and just below the roof terrace which was very noisy, however when asked for an alternative room this was available and was much better (quieter and larger). Hotel did not have a bar.Happy traveller17 June 2010
4.5 star ratingVery pleasant hotel in a good location with friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. Reasonable buffet breakfast on the rooftop terrace made for agood start to the day.NoneChris23 October 2010
3.5 star ratingNice pool area. Staff frinedly and helpful. Good location. Our room was on floor -1 and was very small and the bathroom was a bit tired looking (shower curtain was old). Very noisey in the mornings as it was right by the swimming pool. Breakfast was a bit of a let down - no brown bread - mainly buscuits. Also the fruit juice was like drinking syrup.04 October 2010
4.0 star ratingVery helpful staff both regarding the hotel facilities and activities outside the hotel including renting a car at a better price than all the other agents. Room and hotel were fantastically decorated. Nice outdoor pool, shaded from the sun in the afternoons.Breakfast was very average.26 April 2011
4.5 star ratingOn a quiet street in the new city, this hotel is only a 20 minute walk away from the Jemaa El Fna (main square). The area feels safe and the hotel is easy to find. Our room was spacious and air-conditioned. The staff were very friendly and when we told them that the air-conditioning in our room wasn't working very well we were immediately moved to another room. The pool is not very big, still nice to cool off after a day of sight seeing but too small and shaded to spend a day sunbathing there...LG27 June 2011
5.0 star ratingHiya, The hotel was really charminfg, l've enjoyed my stay and my sisters did endeed.lovely people, the food was amazing, the rooms were like from one thousand and one night,, I'm definitly coming back to moroccan House Hotel and this time with my friends. well done guys, great job.Although l was pleased with everything. There was one small thing which has upset me, it was the noise caused by the drunkers from the pub in the corner of the road, and their fights in the middle of the night.sorry to say so, but because l loved the place and you the hard working staff, l felt it's my duty to let you know, so you can take your legal measures and sort that problem with the owners of that pub. because they're harming the image of the hotel. Thank you. Alia23 September 2011

5.0 star ratingBeautiful Moroccan style and friendly stuff. Even we were late, breakfast was served with a smile. Unfortunately, some noise from the street could be disturbing early in the morning. Overall I would recommend the hotel without a doubt. Arnika07 May 2012
