5.0 star ratingThe hotel is in a lovely locations, next door to teh Baltic Arts Gallery and the Millenium bridge. Our room had a fabulous room down the tyne and although we were near the lift we were not disturbed by any noise in the night. The room was spacious, very clean and well furnished and the hotel felt new and well designed. The bar are was very pleasant with a lovely veranda next to the river. Two blondes03 October 2011
3.5 star ratingGreat location great food in resturant.Hotel car park small and charged at £6.50 even though it says £5.00 in your info in your room.reception staff look very bored and can't be bothered to make conversation, just do the minimum needed. On a Saturday night this hotel is FULL of stag and hen parties. Niknak26 February 2013

1.5 star ratingCustomer service was great. My booking was not what was expected when booking, the bed was made with large dark stains on the duvet cover. Bath had dark hair in side. And next morning i awoke with bites on my head and my back to which the one on my head has not cleared up. Im not normally one to give negative feedback but i was very shocked and surprised to have experience this at this level.mkjb06 April 2013
3.0 star ratingThe hotel itself was immaculate, along with helpful and professional staff. However, the hotel was not good value for money. After paying over £59 per night to stay I did not expect to then pay a further £6.50 to leave my car in the hotel car park over night. The hotel stated wifi was available, what it failed to mention was that it cost extortionate amounts to actually use. What was meant to be a reasonable one night stay, turned out to be a slight con. This is somewhere that I would definitely not recommend when there are many other equally as nice hotels available for a much more reasonable price that can offer better facilities. 30 March 2013
4.5 star ratingExcellent location within easy walking distance of most Newcastle attractions. Great view if you have a riverside room. Very good value for a basic, overnight stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean, quiet accommodation - must have good soundproofing as we were not disturbed by any hen night/stag do parties. Not all rooms have riverside room - ours overlooked the back yard, not very pretty. (Room 408) I would not recommend the hotel for a longer stay as there was only one drawer so we could not unpack underwear, etc. Also, the bathroom was quite small and basic. I think it would help to have some instructions for adjusting the CH/AC - the icons on the control unit were mystifying. We did eventually get the room warm enough (to be fair, we were staying during the coldest March for 50 years!)25 March 2013
4.5 star ratingClean, room, comfortable beds. Included and ironing board and iron, which is handy to refresh a packed shirt. Also nice that the room wasn't heated to a tropical level, which I've found with some other chains. Overall, very happy with the stay and the service from Hotelopia. Original hotel was overbooked, so had to be transferred to another hotel a few miles away. The staff were apologetic and paid for the transfer costs, so the overall inconvenience was minor and I'm happy with the resolution, but given that I would have had no refund for cancelling, I am a little miffed that it was done in the first place.PoliticalhackUK14 April 2013

3.5 star ratingDecent hotel, nothing fancy, did the job as it was in a good location (near the city centre) and somewhere to sleep.Parking is limited as the hotel has a small car park. Leaving the car park was also troublesome as you had a scan a barcoded piece of paper to let you out, bit difficult when it's raining and slip gets wet.Scousemo09 September 2013
4.5 star ratingLovely stay over the weekend with some friends. Very close to the city centre! Hotel was very nice and clean, would defantly come back here again. I booked 5 rooms for the weekend for myself and a group of friends for a Birthday celebration. Upon arrival we were told we would need to pay an extra £100 per room as a deposit, this came to us as a shock and also we did not prepare ourselves to be spending an extra £100 per room. We were told that this was in the term and conditions and was due to the large booking we had made, although this was not explained to me when i made the booking. I felt this was quite unfair as if we had known would have book each room seperately.Laura 17 October 2013
3.5 star ratingNice hotel in good position as we were moved to jury's in on scottswood road the day before our check inWe had problems when we got there has the hotel staff said the rooms which we had booked where not paid for already but they were and I then was told to prove this which it is a good job I had an email on my I phone are the hotel was not gonna let us check in22 October 2013
3.0 star rating£100 security bond fee is ridiculous considering the overall cost for the night was £49 between 3 of us. 12 November 2013

5.0 star ratingStayed here for 1 night only as part of my granddaughter's Xmas shopping treat. Very good hotel, location fine, although not being used to driving in Newcastle we took a few wrong turns! Not the hotel's fault though. Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant which was pretty good but might have liked room service. Not keen on the idea of "tray service" where you carry your own food back to your room. Overall a great place for an overnight, triple room was spacious and we weren't falling over each other. Spotlessly clean and comfy beds, great shower. No room service and very difficult parking.Marilyn02 December 2013
5.0 star rating the hotel was in a beautiful riverside location not far from city centre and travel links. our room was superb with fabulous views over the river, baltic art centre, sage theatre, millennium and tyne bridges with views across Newcastle. all of the staff went the extra mile to assist us and they were most professional and friendly. there was ample secure parking and access to main roads was very accessible. it was certainly value for money as we got an excellent rate through the travel agent on line. we will certainly return in the future and recommend the hotel to friends and family - a most enjoyable stay wish it had been longer !!!None !!!!shanley family28 December 2013

3.5 star ratingHotel was very clean n tidy. Food was tastyHotel was very noisey. We stayed in a room which was next to a very squeeky door that squeeked and woke me up everytime. Also alot of door banging. I was woke every hour. I was very taken back that on arrivale the hotel wanted a sercurity depposit of £100 pre room. I had booked two. I am still waiting three days later for that to be unfrozen from my account. Wifi was not free. Also 4G-3G would not load on my mobile. Overal i think this hotel is over priced. I will think twice about staying again. Anonymous 16 September 2014
3.5 star ratingClean ,modern ....typical of the chain brand...quietish place to stay Rooms comfortable ...lighting poor though! 4.0 star ratingGreat Location and value for money clean and tidyParking was a hit or a miss the barrier and the buzzer never worked Our room was facing the main road and offices opposite. So was a little noisy and not very private. Some of they staff could be more friendly when you go for breakfast to be told you haven't paid twice when you have and then marched of to reception in front of everyone. john from Edinburgh02 August 2015
