Hotel Information

The hotel is located on Santa Monica Bay and the Malibu Peninsula and offers access to the raw beauty of the California coastline and the nearby beach. This resort is just minutes from Beverly Hills and Los Angeles International Airport. The hotel's garden is a walkway through the private bungalows. A now-enormous fig tree planted by an unknown sailor graces the lobby and is the focal point around which the hotel was built. Hotel guests may wish to dine on the terrace overlooking the famous pool, the rippling waterfalls or lavish gardens and exquisitely-manicured grounds. The hotel also offers a bar on site. The hotel provides convenient rooms. The hotel features Exhale Spa with a full spa menu and six treatment rooms. Chef Ray Garcia's FIG Restaurant is also located on the hotel grounds.

4.5 star ratingLovely hotel in good location. Little touches make the stay really special, such as snack delivered to the room on the first evening and bath robes for the kids. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Room was pleasant yet smaller than we are used to in America. Not really big eni=ough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Also no facility to make coffee in the room. Valet parking is the only option and expensive. I dont like valet as I can't nip out to get something form the car, which is just steps from the front door and dont know whether tips are expected on top of the $33/night fee! Room was pleasant but smaller than we are used to in America. Beds were a little small for 2 adults and 2 children sharing. No facility to make coffee in the room.23 April 2011
