4.5 star ratingThis isn't really a negative - just a suggestion. A grab bar on the wall near the bathtub would be something that would be helpful and a real safety feature for your guests. Without a grab bar, a guest (of any age) could slip and fall. Also, we could have used a towel bar for our wash cloths in the bathtub. An additional towel rack could be useful in the bathroom, as well. Mom01 March 2011
4.0 star ratingFantastic stay in your hotel Staff were extremely helpful Hotel itself is so central Excellent location and the room was immaculate! Will definitely recommend!Only negative comment is about the bathroom in the room... It was very dated and the shower/bath was awful Definitely needs to be modernised!Rosie P09 January 2012
3.5 star ratingGreat location for tourist attractions, staff friendly and approachable. Lively bar and several places to eat in building and nearby. $30 approx taxi from airport and underground station less than 5 minutes walk away.Air conditioning in the room was not working and couldn't be repaired. Reception eventually offered to change our room at third time of asking about air con problem. Bathroom was very small, tiny in fact. Had to shuffle around while closing door due to minimum floor space.Anonymous 11 June 2014
3.5 star ratingThe stay at the hotel included access to the David Barton Gym, which has excellent equipment. Good location. Friendly staff. Buying drinks and food for breakfast from the coffee shop counter was much cheaper than sitting down in the restaurant. Room is quite small. Furniture is outdated. If you can get a good rate and won't be spending too much time at the hotel then it's worth staying here. Hotel has no water fountains and they suggest you buy water from their shop ($3.99 a bottle). I used the water fountain in the gym.Anonymous 02 July 2015
3.0 star ratingAs you arrive at the front door, you are greeted by the bellmen and I think the most hard working people at the hotel. The lobby is beautiful and modern but a very busy hotel as I think it does slot of conferences. The rooms were clean. The bellman are defiantly the hardest working staff at this hotel. The room has paper cups ! Why in such a substantial hotel would you let yourself down with just giving guests paper cups. Not enough for the four of us in the room either. Not enough coffee and only earl grey tea ! We called down to ask for some proper cups to be brought up and advised that there was a $2 charge to bring it up ! I'm sorry but that's not room service that's day light robbery. Bruce, a very nice receptionist, said he would upgrade us to a queen double as our room wasn't ready when we checked in. Thank god he did, as it was small with the upgrade. Goodness knows how big the room would have been before. The bathroom was tiny , but I was told that the sizes hadn't changed since 1926. That's fine but don't try and squeeze 4 people into a room that size ! A room for 2 people would be sufficient. I called down to the concierge to ask if we could leave our luggage for an hour or two and was told yes but it wasn't the concierge that deals with that but the bellman. There wasn't a bellmans button on the phone ! I am quite aware that the concierge wouldn't store our luggage but her tone was a that's not me job so why are you ringing me !Anonymous 02 August 2016

5.0 star ratingThe hotel was very nice. Super clean and very inviting space. Very professional staff and it's close to everything in the city! The only negative thing was that there were tons of people staying there over the July 4th weekend so the lobby was always crazy crowded and we didn't really get to check out the bar because of this. However, not the biggest issue and it's what we expected for a holiday weekend. We'll stay there again for sure. Kyra07 July 2016
5.0 star ratingI stayed with my daughter for a week before she started at Berklee. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Boston, close to parks, shopping and sightseeing. The area is quiet, clean and safe. We enjoyed the gym and the lobby bistro. The staff is most friendly and helpful. Our rooms were comfortable, very clean and made daily. We are happy to recommend Boston Park Plaza. Thank you for your service. There are no real negatives, just suggestions: the shower curtain rack needs attention, but this can be fixed easily. Good coffee European or Australian style is a challenge across Boston, and I am guessing US.Anonymous 04 September 2016
