Lovely food. | On arrival after traveling 3 hours we went to the bar and was extremely shocked at the cost of 2 pints of lemonade it was over £6 !! If we were to stay again we would bring our own to have in the room and just ask for ice! The staff put us in a smoking room, they did not ask if we wanted this. We are non smokers and this wasn't the ideal start to the stay so that needed to be sorted (very inconvenient). | 4.5 star rating | Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Went for wedding reception but only going to evening do. Arrived just after lunch and the two reception girls were wonderful. Big welcoming smiles which made me feel happy straight away. They had seen the wedding room set up and were raving about it and we did check it out and it was fabulous! Our room 229 was large and had good quality mattress on the bed. A tiny tad dated but everywhere was immaculately clean so couldn't have asked for anything more. All the staff at the hotel appeared happy and all courteous. I also thoroughly enjoyed the vast selection of food for breakfast. You certainly would not go hungry here. Appreciated that the bar was still open on our return from the concert, and the complementary peanuts with our drinks. Nice friendly hotel, decor a little tired, but would certainly use this hotel again if in area. Didn't use the resteraunt so can only comment on the bar food and breakfast. Breakfast was good, decent selection and the hot food regularly replaced. | 4.0 star rating | We came back from a concert and went straight to our room as we got closer you could hear the noise from the disco which was on due to a wedding, as we opened our door the noise was terrible we must of had the room right above the DJ who must of had the bass on full. We rang down to ask how long the music was on for and they said until 12.30 the time now was 11.00, so when we asked have we got to put up with this his reply was yes sorry not would you like us to move you.
