4.0 star ratingGo.od location and good quality throughout as regards fittings, furnishings, etc Plenty of food to suit all tastes - excellent dining area on 2 floors and also an outside dining area. Catering staff were very good and helpfulDO NOT ARRIVE LATE AT THIS HOTEL - YOU ARE LIABLE TO FIND YOURSELF TOLD THERE IS NO ROOM AND BE GIVEN A ROOM AT THE LAS VEGAS HOTEL ABOUT 200 METRES ALONG THE PROMENADE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fight for your rights and if you are re-allocated insist that you will not pay for the room at the Las Vegas, if you are sent there. Whilst the Las Vegas is also rated as a 4 star hotel, we found there is a large difference in the quality of accommodation, room fixtures and fittings and also the general aspects of the hotel, although we were made very welcome there. The reception staff at H10 hotel stated that several other people had also been refused accommodation that they had reserved, due to overbooking and implied that we should be grateful that they had found alternative accommodation for us. They even had the nerve to send us an e-mail to our home address after we had left for the airport on the day of our arrival at the hotel stating their intention to send us to the Las Vegas. The hotel director met us the following morning and gave that excuse that "there was a water problem on the 10th floor on the day of our arrival, this reducing the number of rooms available" - SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT MENITIONED BY ANY OF THE RECEPTION STAFF THE PREVIOUS EVENING!!! - He also advised us that they would not charge us for the night we spent in the Las Vegas and also would deduct another night at the H10 from our bill. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN and in fact they overcharged for the remaining 6 nights and refused to give us a receipt at the time they charged our credit card, citing "IT problems with the printer". This was at the same time as they were printing other correspondence from the printer, presumably other bills or receipts. Although we were offered and took an upgraded room to that which we had booked some 6 months before, this disruption to our holiday not only lost us a day but certainly blunted any holiday pleasure When we finally received a receipt on the third day it showed that we had been charged one night less than we had paid for. When I queried this it took another hour behind the scenes for them to come back and say "it was a mistake" and promptly issued another receipt for previously deducted night cost - although the final fill was still less than the amount we paid. Another hour passed before they agreed to reimburse the difference in cash. ALL IN ALL - A MOST UNSATISFACTORY AND UPSETTING FIRST 2 DAYS - WE WILL NOT BE BOOKING ANOTHER HOLIDAY AT THIS HOTEL - AND MUST CONSIDER WHETHER ALL H10 HOTELS OPERATE THE SAME OVERBOOKING SYSTEM.
