3.0 star ratingClose to city centre. Ideal for those on cruise packages.Long wait to be checked in. Bedroom not made up for double room. Food average. Seems to be a stop over hotel for cruising rather than for visitors to the area.Anonymous 19 August 2014
4.0 star ratingThe receptionist couldn't find our prepaid booking on arrival, however, she did locate it. We were given a room upgrade which had a lovely view of the harbour from our window. We only stayed one night and were very happy with our accommodation. The staff were very pleasant and professional. Catnap19 October 2014

3.0 star ratingThe Grand Harbour Hotel is the ideal place for the cruise ships, its only across the road.We have stayed at your hotel twice before and found it good value for money with the car park included but not this time.Room very dusty you could print your name on the furniture. No water only if you paid for it, on the last two visits this was included. Having to wait in a quay for breakfast in a hotel so big l would not expect this. Also having to pay for parking which we thought was in the price considering the prices charged. Jenny B York14 September 2016
4.5 star ratingLovely hotel. Perfect location for a pre cruise stay. I have been 3 times now and will definitely come back.Anonymous 10 October 2016
3.0 star ratingIt would be helpful to have tourist information available as to the attractions in the area. Maps of Southampton/New Forest/Portsmouth would have been helpful too for planning especially as the weather turned out to be quite dreadful. For the money that we paid for the hotel, we were disappointed with the choices at breakfast. The quality was fair but there was no indication that porridge was available or eggs that could be cooked differently other than fried or scrambled. There was also no allergy information easily available. As the staff were very thin on the ground on the second day or very busy on the first day, it was difficult to get there attention. However, the staff were very helpful when asked. Anonymous 30 March 2016
3.5 star ratingGreat roomExpensive drinks 2 x Langavulin & 1 x glass of white wine £22 !!! Extortionate. Boddingtons £4.20 - don't pay it, go to Wetherspoons nearby who'll only charge £2.20. Very slow bar service - only one person in front of me who ordered two glasses of wine yet it took almost ten minutes to be served. This happend to several of my colleagues to the extent that we left in the end. Dis organised breakfast - nobody top greet you at entrance but several guests were chased acroos the breakfast area for their room number. Slow reception at checkout Very slow lifts - take the stairs Great rooms but a lot of dirt under glass desk surface Complex shower/bath system Requested room away from fire doors but got one right next to it.glock1626111 February 2016
