3.0 star ratingYou have to keep in mind that many things in Malaysia are not the standard in some other countries ,keeping that in mind the room was a good size the bathroom was good enough and the hotel had a nice seating area looking out on to the hill.NO SWIMMING POOL at the hotel when it says there is one. We were told when we complained that we could maybe use the one at the very posh hotel down the road if it was not to busy not sure if that hotel knew this was happening. We walked through to it but did not feel comfortable with that. We also were alarmed to find Geopark Hotel was in a "Disney world" type park but to be honest at night it was quite a nice place to be, we had not done our research on what the Oriental village actually was! Lastly we were messed about by the hotel in that we were told in advance that we could not stay there for our first night because of an electric cut off and that we would be relocated to a hotel in Kuah. When I tried to contact Hotelopia to check this E mail as it was not clearly from the hotel itself I had no help at all! Eventually I got through to the hotel and they said yes you have to go to Kuah. So we went and the only way we could get there was by taxi, when we arrived the hotel said no you need to be at the hotel in Geopark they fixed the electric problem. We said we have just come by taxi here then they said we could stay at that hotel but we would not get breakfast which we had paid for! Eventually they organized the hotel bus to take us to the park but this was extremely bad communication on their part. The breakfast was terrible, it was not in the hotel, we were given vouchers for the theme park café but each day the eggs were not cooked, fried egg and the white was runny, boiled egg and the white was runny ugh. We do not recommend you go for the breakfast that comes with this hotel!Anonymous 12 February 2017
