1.5 star ratingyou cannot beat the sun and the sea. Amazing beach and a great floating swimming pool. Shame we were not allowed to swim in the sea, nobody said why, but staff said because of sharks!!!1. The place is huge and there is a number of shuttle buses that take you around, but they are old and ageing and smell of gas in the most nauseating way. 2. I was staying in the King's lake which is one of he elite hotels within the resort, you have access to a club car but I had to call the reception multiple times and and wait for more than 15mins each time. 3. The rooms are far from luxurious, beds are only twin stuck together not double and the bathrooms are literally more than 11 years old. Needs more than just a lick of paint 4. Last but not least the staff, although all friendly and smiling, you can hear them swearing in Arabic and chit chatting. Not 5 stars qualities. 5. Last day I tried to swap the dinner I was supposed to have on the second day and take it on the check out day, not only was I refused and the staff didn't want to serve me food even when I said I would pay for it, and embarrassed in front of a table of 3 of my friends, but when I called the food and beverage manager, he came and spoke to us in the most disgusting way and said "you will pay cause I say so, and this how we work, if you have a problem, leave your food now and go and speak to the reception (which was literally 2 km away) or just pay" As a guest in this hotel for 11 years I felt totally unappreciated and insulted. Not to mention the food was beyond mediocre and totally overpriced. 5.Overall this is the caracas, I think they need a great think over of their business or they will be out of work soon. No wonder the place was half empty. ghallab20 June 2015
