5.0 star ratingIt was our second visit to the Hotel and we were very happy with our stay. The staff were very friendly and we had a most enjoyable weekend. There was nothing to complain about. Maybe sometime in the near future the bedrooms could be redecorated but this was very minor.03 December 2008

3.5 star ratingneed to clean pipes out!.Each time you opened the door for the bathroom all you could smell was raw sewage. In the end we had to put the plugs in the plugholes in the sink and bath to minimise the smell.I would say it put us off using the bath/shower for our stay.Being English(too polite!)we did not bring this to the attention of the hotel. This was our second time staying at said hotel and may be our last.Excellent staff though,shame!29 November 2008
5.0 star ratingThe hotel was clean and comfortable, situated close to all amenities. The staff were friendly and courteous and the food was good. Overall a very nice hotel I would recommend to family friends and colleagues and would have no hesitation in returning to the Van Cleve .23 December 2008

4.5 star ratingExcellent position - perfect location to reach most of the city centre attractions and good for the Central Station / public transport /trams etc and close to many of the museums. Good shopping and restaurants nearby. Good bar and restaurant - although a bit expensive.I would have thought at the price they charge the hotel should provide shampoo etc in the rooms ! Rooms are not very large and temperature is not easy to controlMeandmycat15 April 2009
4.5 star ratingFree internet. Great staff. Not enough light in the room. What is the obsession with side lights? Why not a normal light in the room. MrChef21 March 2010

4.5 star ratingVery friendly and helpful staff. The cleanliness of the room was A*The laundry in the room was poor, one of the towels was a dark grey colour and the sheets on the bed despite being freshly laundered were badly stained.19 October 2012
