Hotel Information

The Bard of Avon himself might have written a sonnet for the Best Western Grosvenor Hotel. Situated in the center Stratford-upon-Avon - the town of Shakespeare’s birth - this Grade II listed building is certainly as you like it. Just three minutes away from the local shops and amenities, yet still a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you’re looking for a hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Best Western Grosvenor Hotel is a real home away from home. Individually styled bedrooms combine with comfortable lounge areas for a totally relaxing ambience. And just to add to the feeling of gentility, our pastry chef serves up homemade delights and delicious afternoon teas. It’s a genuine taste of traditional England. The Best Western Grosvenor Hotel is also a fantastic place to celebrate a wedding or hold a business event, we have extensive facilities to accommodate both. The Warwickshire town itself pays full tribute to its most famous son. At the renowned Royal Shakespeare Theatre, some of the finest actors and actresses take to the stage to perform the most celebrated plays in the world. Many of the places he would have known are still in existence – including the house where he was born and grew up, which you can visit. But it’s not just about Shakespeare – there’s also some beautiful countryside nearby, as well as the equally historic Warwick Castle. Whether you’re here on a family getaway or a short break, you’ll be inspired by the Best Western Grosvenor Hotel.

3.5 star ratingHelpful staff. Bed very comfortable. Blanket available instead of duvet.Bathroom very sparsely equipt. Liquid soap fixed to the wall, something I have never come across before, and nothing else.27 July 2010
5.0 star ratingWe had a short three night stay and would definitely stay again. The room was lovely spotlessly clean, the breakfast great plenty of variety and a lovely full English. The staff very very helpful and attentive. We had to put our break back by a few days as my wife's father was admitted to hospital, on ringing the Grosvenor the chap I spoke to changed our booking with no hesitation and even asked how my wife's father was when we actually arrived at the hotel. I think his name is Raoul so a special thanks to him.tomdi19 September 2010
4.0 star ratingnice hotel appearance when we arrived with helpful staff on reception.Breakfast could of been a lot warmer when served to us , bread seemed a little dry to my partner who had a sausage sandwich and the sausage was barely warm so bread was left, the rest was ok.was not told we could of had kippers as an alternative.23 November 2010
4.5 star ratingExcellent situation, professional staff and warm atmosphere - everything you could want from a hotel. We wished we had booked a longer stay.C29 October 2010
5.0 star ratingBeautiful hotel in town centreOnly one person on reception so had to wait a while to be dealt with. Seemed to be a bit of a language barrier. Heard the receptionist ask a guest several times if she had had / ordered breakfasts (whilst we were waiting). Chocolate in exec room was a bit poor - bar of chocolate orange - wow and one one tiny bottle of water for 2 guests. Where were the biscuits!!!31 August 2011
4.0 star ratingGood location and parking, good nights sleep! The full English breakfast was less than satisfactory. The only edible part of it was the freshly prepared toast and fried egg. The rest was inedible (the tomatoes, sausage and mushrooms appeared to have been prepared several hours before breakfast).26 March 2012

5.0 star ratingGreat room and the hotel had a brilliant location only 2 mins from the centre just like the website said. The food at the hotel was lovely and the pre theatre menu was a very reasonable £14.95 for 3 courses bargain !! Also drinks at the bar at this hotel were only 10p more per pint compared to a pub in the same area.Noneducey17 April 2012
4.5 star ratingEveryone of the staff i spoke to were very pleasent - the food that we had, was very enjoyableGOT A SHOCK WHEN I ORDERED A GUINNESS - £4-10p, MY DAUGHTER, WHO OWNS A PUB CHARGES £3-30 TO CUSTOMERS, BUT I SUPOSE THAT'S THE PRICE YOU PAY WHEN YOU ARE STAYING AT A HOTEL - MIND YOU THE DRINK WAS VERY WELCOME20 June 2012
4.5 star ratingWe could not fault the location of the hotel, the receptionist was realy helpful on our arrival and the rest of staff just as helpful, could not fault the breakfast at all. There are just 3 points that i was not happy with. 1. The staircase in my mind was just a little bit narrow. 2. The bedroom window we could not open our room number was 207. 3. On booking there is no mention that there is no lift only i struggle with stairs at the best of times.ch.06 June 2012
4.0 star ratingStaff at the desk were friendly the room was clean and cool.the fan on the ceiling was great.Breakfast was lovely.the shower was rubbish,no power so did not feel clean. The mattress was like a trampoline so we did not sleep well at all.Medium mattresses are a safe bet for customers and not soft ones. 04 July 2012
4.5 star ratingVery close to the town centre. Food excellent and staff friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. Bar prices a bit steep especially for mixers.Smiler 23 June 2012
