Overall a good choice of hotel for its region but don't expect the level of service you find in major areas such as Penang / Langkawi or K.L.Very noisy if your room is overlooking the reception area over the car park as buses line up early in the morning to pick up drop off passengers with engines running and fumes, make sure you request to be in a block in the back or on the sides of the hotel. Overgrown trees block room views in some rooms which is such a shame. Morning buffet doesn't change day in day out, you get a feeling that the same food is kept overnight and served the next morning, the chef on the egg station didn't know how to crack an egg nor did he know how to cook eggs, I brought this up to the hotel manager's attention but nothing was done to rectify the situation. Don't expect to find hand towels everyday in your room as we had to call and request them daily, reason given - waiting for them to be washed. This was the third time I've stayed at this hotel over 25 years, the current management whilst trying to do a good job they've managed to slip back on service levels based on passed experiences which is a shame.sam23 April 2013

4.0 star ratingStudio room size is big attache with an oversize bathroom which is modern and clean .twinbeds are big and can fit in 2 adult and 2 kids . I believe they only refurbish the rooms but not the lobby . Only free wifi is available in the lobby whereas you have to pay for it in the room .Camerron hotel are all not convenient u have to drive around so as to reach the places of interest Location is right up on a mountain , weather is great good for families food wise so so but can be improved in Jim thompson terrace . 3.5 star ratingAmbience, Climate, location, setting, décor, space, room furnishings, jim Thompson terrace are all a very memorable experience. Will definitely revisit Cameron and no doubt stay at Strawberry park. Food: While the chefs are good with the local delicacies, they may need to improve their skills on serving not so familiar dishes, in terms of portions , presentation which need to be appetizing. Staff: while are courteous and I applaud them for that, need to improve on their customer handling skills especially in awkward situation. They need to be able to be confident in handling complaints, etc. Give you an example: food at JT terrace runs out (cos its a buffet) the rate of replacement has to be measured well, tables have to be cleaned at double quick time or else guests get irritated and scold the staff unnecessarily. And guests may make the tables more messier, in the process there may be spill overs to the floor, broken cookware, etc. Peter14 August 2013
