This hotel is situated in Aberdeen, adjacent to the railway station. Built in 1890, this Victorian hotel has 120 bedrooms on five floors. The Denburn Restaurant and Montrose Bar are furnished and decorated in a traditional style and offer menus, with local produce from the countryside around the city used in many dishes. The hotel also offers conference rooms suitable for 2 to 200 delegates. Guests are welcomed into a reception hall with 24-hour check-in/check-out service. Facilities include currency exchange, lift access, Internet access and a car park. Room and laundry services are available. 1.5 star ratingNice carpet in Reception.Room was poor quality for price.Huge damp patches on walls. I spent a lot of time in Hotels on business for American Express but this Hotel was very poor value for money£116 room only!! as well as very damp!!!!08 November 2008
5.0 star rating We were on a shopping trip and the hotel is 5 minutes from Union Street. Was absolutely are ideally staying there then. We could go back to rest between battles. An affordable hotel with large rooms. We will gladly return at the next opportunity Some traffic noise in the rooms facing the street. Remember earplugsJolan S27 May 2014
3.0 star ratingWe had a large room - 2 double beds and 2 sofa beds. The heating worked very well and the water was very hot. The older parts of the hotel had character and the new parts were nice and modern. Great location.There were only 4 wall lights in the large room - 2 of which weren't working. We phoned down to reception about them and they were replaced immediately. However it was still quite dark even with the 4 lights on. The wifi didn't work - I could have complained about it, but as I was only there for 1 night I didn't bother. The breakfast was extremely disappointing. The blackpudding, bacon and sausages were all dried out from being sat in the buffet dishes for so long. The last time we stayed there it was a fresh breakfast, which was delicious, not the dried up buffet breakfast we had this time! We went down to breakfast at 9am - breakfast stopped being served at 9.30am. One could argue that we should have got there earlier, but if they are going to serve breakfasts until 9.30am then you would expect the breakfasts to still be edible at 9am!!!Anonymous 17 February 2015
