2.0 star ratingCasino is fun.Many MANY issues with the room. I've stayed at Showboat many times before and this time was by FAR the worst experience I've ever had. It will make me think twice before booking another room in this hotel. The pillows were paper thin, the tv remote didn't work, the electrical outlet is a fire hazard as it spits out any plug you put in it, and the room didn't even have a desk in it. I've never been in a hotel room which was this disappointing.Matt01 July 2013
3.0 star ratingCaution with the PET policy, it states that there is a 50 USD p/night HOLD on your credit card that will be used in case of damage or loss (fair enough) but at arrival it became a FEE to pay. Pet fee was then close to the room rate, not worth it...Told the management and after many different versions, they did nothing about it although all information was written in their own policy.Daniel27 July 2013
5.0 star ratingThe hotel was really nice. Room was big, nice view and for a Saturday night in Atlantic City, great price. You can check in early for a 10.00 fee, which is great. Hotel is right on the boardwalk. All in all, the Showboat was a great choice....So, back to my comment about Saturday night in Atlantic City... I'm thinking this is probably the same for all the hotels, but it's very loud in the hallways and there's not much you can do about it.. You can put a towel under the front door to minimize some noise, but if you plan on having a good night's sleep, think again... Unless you get lucky and have no rowdy people at all hours of the night running and yelling down the halls.. Again, that's the nature of the beast I guess... Another pet peeve that I didn't like was the TV was an old style tube type.. For a hotel that charges as much as they do, and it being 2014, I would have assumed it would have had a Flatscreen... That's just my personal opinion on that. If I had to rate this hotel out of 10, I would give it a 8.5.... If it wasn't so noisy, an easy 10/10Scott VanVliet17 June 2014
