4.5 star ratingThe staff were very attentive but not intrusive. The hotel is in a great location on Chaweng beach where it is quiet but within easy and quick walking distance of more active areas. The beach was great for our kids and was very clean and well attended by the hotel staff. The room was a good size and well equipped as well as being very clean. The hotel is brand new, we were there just after the "soft" opening and it was pristine. Eating and drinking at the roof bar was fabulous as you get the sea air and breeze with a great view. We found the food to a consistently high standard and the staff appreciated that our kids only needed small portions and adjusted both the amount of food served and the bill accordingly. Chaweng beach does not have any life gurads and nor does the hotel provide any, those visiting the hotel with kids under 10 years should only let the kids in the water whilst supervised during choppy conditions - we visited in December and the waves were high on a few days and the lack of guards meant the kids needed extra attention to stay safe - this is after all a parent's responsibility.With being a new hotel it was evident that the resturant staff were not fully upto speed. On more than one occasion one persons food came after the rest of us had finished eating. You would expect all food to be served at the same time. It would have been nice for the toiletries and supplies in the room to be replenished daily rather than every 3 or 4 days or on request.Paul Tweddle25 December 2009
