4.0 star ratingVery clean, friendly hotel. Lovely pools.Location quiet. Not near any nightlife26 May 2009
4.5 star ratingExcellent value for money. Good quality staff and hotel rooms have been refurbished to a good standard. Excellent facilities with 4 outdoor pools to choose from so never felt crowded although it was quite quiet when we arrived but busier on departure. Indoor heated pool was great expecially as it got too windy to go out one day. Sauna and gym all well equipped. Great spot right opposite Gozo for travelling to Gozo. Hotel beach a little disappointing as accessed through an underpass and right opposite ferry port but water still really clear. Paradise Bay opposite is a must with beautiful clear sea and nice beach and can walk there although up a hill and then need to go down around 70 steps to get to beach so maybe not ideal for pushchairs or infirm clients. Food was always of a good selection available and plenty of entertainment on every night with cabarets, country and western and a Maltese night. Excellent prices at bar and in coffee shop downstairs which was great as being so far out with no other facilites close by expected prices to be higher. Shop in hotel sells everything from toieltries to water to beach goodies and all reasonably priced. Good facilites in tennis court and archery also available, all reasonably charged. Diving centre on beach hotel site with banana boat rides. I would recommend this hotel as we had a great time with great service for families or couples.Really need a car but there is a bus stop right opposite hotel door and the infamous Maltese buses take you all over the island. No other bars or shops nearby and other hotel about a 1km away but hotel has eveything you need anyway. We went in low season and I should imagine in high season with the heat it would be a bit of a nightmare. Hotel rooms are rufurbished to a high standard but rest of hotel is a bit dated. Indoor pool flooring coming up in places could be dangerous for kids running around. Angela from Bathgate, Scotland18 May 2010
3.5 star ratingGreat quiet location, 2 min walk from the ferries that go to blue lagoon, it only takes 20 min by these ferries to arrive there (beautiful place but recommend early arrival to grab a nice spot). Hotel has stunning sea views from swimming pool and is close to a small sandy beach called paradise beach, which has a nice good priced restaurant. It is also close to the best sandy beaches in Malta (Golden bay end Mehliehia). The hotel 'a la carte' restaurant is also good, good food and good value for money. Friendly staff specially the waitress and the restaurant named silvia. If you are looking for a party area then it is not for you, as it is a quiet area. The hotel shop has many things you need but they close 15 minutes before closing time (lady had closed doors earlier and said that she was counting money already, not very nice). They charge you 5€ for a swimming pool towel for the whole stay, so recommend to bring your own beach towel (you can change it everyday though). Also your room fridge does not work unless you pay for a mini bar which I though it was a rip off, it's suppose to be a 4* hotel and this felt like it was a 1*, charging you for towels and fridge usage. The food could be better (felt like a 2* hotel food), especially the coffee and 'pa au chocolates' which were served at breakfast everyday, the coffee machine serves horrible coffees and the pastries tasted as if they were expired.Fred16 June 2011
3.5 star ratingClean hotel, good food and helpful staff.Billiard room needs upgrading. Also two billiards and only one stick to play with as the second one is also broken.Pluto.06 November 2012
3.0 star ratingDinner was good with many different dishes. Pool is very nice and the common areas large and comfortable.Room furniture is horrible and stinks. Painted yellow. The door to the room has to be slammed to close. Breakfast not good at all and they keep running out of cups and dishes. All the waiters seem to care about is clearing the tables and not to see if guests would like to order anything. We got to the desserts before we managed to order a bottle of wine by which time we couldn't be bothered.Jo06 November 2012

3.5 star ratingMycket trevliga pooler! Bra mat! Fungerar väldigt bra att ha barn med sig! Dåliga sängmadrasser! Hyfsad städning(mer att önska) Rökning var tillåten på rummen!(Vår son med familj fick ett rum där man rökt otroligt mycket)03 June 2013
4.0 star ratingFood and in particular the desserts; indoor and outdoor pools; hotel beach with sunbeds and umbrella available for free; nice and professional staff. Perfect place to relax with family. At the arrival we were offered twice to take a room where bugs were going around the floor as well as on the furniture. Not nice when you check in late in the night after a full day at work and a 3 hours flight with a 21 months kid jumping on your legs. Anyway, after two refusals with clear statement from my end "this is not a 4 stars service at all" and "this is not an economy room, this is an unhealty room" the message was understood and we were upgraded to a clean and nicely furnished room. We appreciated this move from the management and since that moment our holiday was simply great. Bravo! to all the staff of the hotel.A14 October 2013
4.0 star ratinggreat room great pool nice atmosphere in a very good areaI will never book again with hotelopia because when making our payment the price was different then the one they sent me It was supposed to be 101.02 euros and the hotel made us pay 112.30 euros. That's not the main point ,the thing was that while paying she made us feel like ignorant, thank you,Anonymous 27 February 2014

3.5 star ratingPosition is amazing. View is incredible! They charge you with everything without letting you know. I asked for a boarding pass (a simple plain print in black and white) print and charged me for 3€, and only told me after they printed! Wifi is free ONLY in the main hall, in rooms you have to pay. 4.5 star ratingVery good food and very clean hotel. Very professional duty manager on New year's eve.Entertainment on New Year's Eve was disastrous. However, as soon as we complained we were given permission to join the gala dinner entertainment which was very good. Hotelopia is a very misleading website to book hotels. When we booked, the website said that gala dinner was included. However, it wasn't written on our voucher and therefore we never got it. Stay at Paradise Bay hotel but do not book from Hotelopia.Anonymous 03 January 2015

5.0 star ratingI spent 3 in the Paradise with my sister in December and 3 days in January the 10th For value for money its excellent the staff are friendly the food is wonderful the indoor swimming and games rooms are a big plus for me. You can walk to the ferry for a trip to Gozo. I always stay in the Paradise when I visit Malta. The things I don't understand is that they dont give free wi-fi in the rooms. They still have the old tv sets . They don't have tea or coffee with dinner. And they don't put water on the table. They charge €1.80 for a bottle of water the hotel shop was over charging also for the water with me the shop lost out as I bought nothing in the shop for over charging on the water. Small things I know the rule is keep the customer happy or lose your customers. David14 January 2016
