I had stayed there a number of years ago and really liked the renovations that have been made. All the staff were very good and very pleasant to deal with. 3.0 star ratingThe restaurant that is attached to the hotel - Pier 73 - is excellent! We did not eat at the hotel restaurant though so I cannot comment of the food! There was construction going on at the hotel. The front desk said they attempted to move us away from the work but we could still hear the workers well after 5:00pm. Also I was dismayed that the hotel would not accept my iPrefer card or my Aeroplan card. They told me since I booked through a "third party" my points could not be added onto either! I have booked another stay here through Hotelopia and I will miss out on these points once again. This should be made clear to us when booking!! We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and I have always booked through the hotel website. We were given a much cheaper rate with Hotelopia (that the hotel said they could not match) so we tried this site. Buyer beware - you get what you pay for. Our room was not up to the standard we usually get. It was very small and the air conditioner did not work properly. This is NOT GOOD when you are staying in Vancouver on a hot, humid evening in the summertime!! Of course, we did not notice this until we were already in bed and since we had an early flight to catch the night morning, we did not want to have to call reception and switch rooms so late in the evening. While I will stay at this hotel again. I will not book there using this "third party" site.Jane03 July 2015
